Help! my town was just nuked!

What if this happened? What if someone here were to post this? What would you do and how do you think other people would react? I think that other people would just act like it was a joke, posting 'LOL NEWB LEARNS TO DO THNGS SEUISLY LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!1111 YOU FAILZZZZZ!!!!!1', even if it wasn't a joke.

Well I would question how the hell they got onto the internet to post this, much less survived.

I would assume they wouldn't have time to post anything about it, due to the circumstance of being very, very dead.

But if they did manage to get off that post to say so, I'd probably just ignore it.

I think someone asked a similar question. It was about war, or murder or something. Anyway, it came to the same conlusion you did. No one would believe them as there are trolls who do that everyday.

I would argue that If my town were nuked, posting that fact on the Escapist wouldn't be high up on my list of priorities. But that agrument requires the global population to be made up of rational people, so who knows?

Plus the EMP would have knocked out the internet and most electronic devices, unless it was shielded...

Depending on how well written and coherent the OP was, then i may or may no take it seriously. I mean, if it's one page long detailing every little thing, then I would assume it was a joke. If it was a quick HOLYFCKINGCRAPIMDYING! then i would assume it was real. However the way i would react to these is the same, a resounding "haha, sucks to be you."

They wouldn't have internet if they were just nuked, assuming they'd be living. Nuclear detonations procude MASSIVE EMP waves that would absolutely cease all electrical activity.

I would think it is a joke. Because....well..... mainly because this forum would be one of the last places I would be posting in if my town was nuked. You know...besides the fact that I WOULD BE DEAD!!! Even in big cities your chances of survival are increadibly slim if you live within 50 miles of the impact point.
