I liked the Inheritance series.
I don't think this qualifies as heresy for most of the Escapist community but I disapprove of culture's new focus on getting laid with as many people as possible and being disrespectful to be cool. Needless to say I audibly groan whenever "MTV" is turned on. The only music left there is the swan song of morality. I also mourn G4's RealityTV-washing. It used to be about the tech, man, about the tech!
I think Math is fun.
So is History except when you have to memorize dates.
I didn't watch the Godfather until I was 22.
Parties (in the college/frat-boy context) are not fun. Woo! Let's get drunk of our asses and make bad decisions!
I'm a 100% hetero male and I like Jordin Sparks' One Step At a Time.
I'd prefer a cute flesh and blood female to a perfect looking android. Megan Fox is a perfect example of why.
I like Coldplay better than Radiohead.

I really don't like Star Wars. And everything that's associated with it. And I hate Star Trek.
I think Halo (1, 3 and Reach) is much more fun than Team Fortress 2.
I can't think of many more such heresies right now.

i agree with you (with the halo thing not star wars, wtf is wrong with you?), i also really hate what team fortress 2 has become, i liked it before but now its just shit imo.

I HATE world of warcraft. It's easily one of the dumbest, dullest, most vomitrocious games i've ever played and is inferior to many other RPGs in every way.

i think walmart is ok as long as you are armed and don't use the bathrooms(no weapon will save you from the horrors you'll find)

i think if they gave master chief emotions beyond "nice kill" or "i wish cortana had a physical body" would make the game unbelievable and stupid due to the fact that he's trained his whole life to kill. proof: other m.

i prefer tuarantulas and/or dogs to kittens.

I recently got Team Fortress 2 on PC, and to be honest, I had more fun with the 360 version.

With all the glitches in that game, who wouldn't have copious amounts of fun?! ^_^

I am having a really hard time having fun with Metroid Prime. I like the 2D games so I bought it, belatedly, to see what the fuss is about, with a view to getting the rest if I liked it. But for every minute of fun there's 10mins of tedious backtracking, made worse by the fact that FPS' don't control right on consoles.

I'd say it would be my surprisingly low standards for games. Although my knowledge of games is higher than my knowledge of music, I tend to be more ragetastic when it comes to music. I'll play anything on any game console, but if I'm in a workout class and a Britany Spears remix starts playing, I'll storm right out before the class is over.

I don't know where you've been but this isn't a new trend in society. This was popular when I was in high school, 12 years ago.

I have never played Half-Life, or any Final Fantasy
I have never beaten a Zelda Game or a Mario Game
I dont game on the PC (used to play WoW, that was it)
I prefer a controller over a keyboard and mouse for shooters

I have to agree with you about the Beatles. Their music doesn't bother me, but I'm starting to wonder if our generation is just too ashamed to admit to our collective apathy.

There are so many 'awesome' films I haven't seen - mainly war and gangster films
I don't hate Twilight and all it represents, but I don't love it either
I really don't care for MW2, Halo or any of the big online multiplayer communities
I loved Oblivion but I really have no intention of playing Morrowind
I think Justin Beiber gets a lot of abuse that isn't really justified - I don't like him or his music, but he's just a musician
I hate Oasis, U2 and Coldplay - I appreciate they are 'good musicians' but I would find a stiletto through the scrotum more enjoyable than one of their gigs
I do not enjoy looking at pictures of cute cats
