The Comedian is not what you'd call "good." He is "evil on our side."

Rorschach? Yes, I agree with you there.

Soturos and Manardi from Golden Sun.
They were trying to save the world but had a "by any means nessecary" attitude towards it and were the antagonists of the game.
What about the main characters from Golden Sun? They were the heroes and in Golden Sun 2, they we're pretty much against what you we're doing. Which was to save people/ the world.

I'll go with a real life person here, Gandhi, how many people died because of his actions?

Leloush Li Britania.....and dont bug me for the spelling, i dont care.
I mean really, is there really anyone he doesn't betray? Lets see:
Karen, the entire order of the black knights, his sister(s), even nunally, his father, i guess you could say all of japan, and his fake brother, he mind controls almost the entire britanian army, and has an entire facility wiped out, including the children. And he's the good guy.

I wont argue with comedian being evil, that's a given, but I don't think Rorschach could be considered evil. Chaotic good would be much closer to where Rorschach falls (especially considering he refuses to participate in the cover-up of all those murdered people). The real evil hero in Watchmen is Veidt...

That was one of the things I loved about the Golden Sun series. After getting a bit deeper in to the story it becomes very difficult to decide who was the villain and whether what you are doing was right. That's an example of incredible writing, when in a linear story you find yourself making judgements of the morality of your actions alongside the characters themselves.
I always got the impression that it was humanity that was evil

here's a brief summary of the games

prologue
1)humans get alchemy
2)humans start war
3)humans seal alchemy away to stop destroying the world
4)the seal starts to destroy the world

game1
5)main char steals ancient treasures from an ancient temple
6)party goes through a barricade (breaking and entering)
7)party STEALS A SHIP! (oh, babi won't need it anymore...)

game2
8)the bad guys are good guys
9)the good guys are bad guys
10)the good guys kill a SEA GOD!
11)the good guys go against an ancient government who actually SAW the alchemy wars (granted the king said it was ok to break the seal)
12)the "wise one" is protecting the seal by turning the characters parents into a dragon and having them fight their children to the death
13) the justification for this? to stop another war
14) the characters response? "lets see how that goes..."

nope, everyone is fine

(lets not forget the JRPG trend of entering houses and stealing stuff)

I would love it if in GS DS the world was destroyed by mankind warring over alchemy :p

Lara Croft and Nathan Drake are evil. Like not "oh they do evil stuff", more like "they kill people in the way of them stealing things."

Light Yagami.

Proving to us all that the only way to have a peaceful world is to kill everyone who is a troublemaker.
The world wasn't exactly peaceful, there was that unexplained mafia that Mello ended up with, crazy ass mobs and people that never got caught. The whole premise that all these criminals were always exposed to Kira was a bit weak, not to mention that if merely posting a name on the net was enough to have Kira kill them you'd use that to knock off innocents.

Besides Light is a villain. It just happens to turn out that he inspires more empathy than the weirdos that set out to catch him.

I vote for Rorschach.

I'd have to say Superman. I was watching one of his older cartoons and there was this guy wearing a poncho and a sombrero controlling gorilla's with this stupid backpack thing and making them steal Mayan gold or something ridiculous like that and Superman just swoops in and punches the shit out of this guy's back, busting the mind control backpack thing, and I'm pretty sure, killing that guy. It's just kinda like "WTF, Superman?!? You didn't have to kill him...dick!" It's not like it was a fucking army of gorillas; just 1 man and like 3 medium sized gorillas. Throw a fucking banana don't toss them off the top of the temple! Superman is an a-hole! Killing (what I suspect to be ) a mexican man and 4 gorillas? That constitutes a beating with a baseball bat made out of Kryptonite!
