The Final Fantasy heroes weren't bad before 7, they were more interesting methinks, (though Squall being socially retarded was fairly entertaining).

I've always hated the Hulk, and I'm probably the one person who agreed with the Illuminati that sending him to space was a good idea. I do not argue that he has saved the world but the amount of damage he causes simply cannot be overlooked. He is a loose cannon and no prison on earth can hold him, better to send him to an uninhabited planet where the Hulk can finally get what he claims he always wants (LEAVE HULK ALONE!). Also, I find his comics boring besides because recently he simply cannot lose. I hate heroes like this and Hulk is the most current, and worst offender. Same with Marvel Zombies, there's no point to reading if you know they can't be beaten.(except for Squirrel Girl ha!)
I also hate Cloud from Final Fantasy VII. He's a whiny little prick who thinks he's all big and bad with his memories that he ripped off from a legitimate badass. Not only that but he develops exactly nothing through the course of the game except that he's more tolerant of his peers by the end, then he regresses in Advent Children and winds up there again at the end. He goes from whiny prick to drooling in a chair for an hour to whiny prick again through the course of his game. I feel like SquarEnix sat down after that game came out and said "Ok, let's try that stereotype again but this time make him interesting" and got Squall.
I agree with someone on the first page that Harry Potter is a whiny emo tart.
I picked these guys out because I felt like I had a good deal to say about them but I also dislike Edward/Bella from Twilight, Jean-Claude/Anita Blake from the Anita Blake series (I'm getting sick and tired of vampires as sex objects right now for a lot of reasons) Master Chief (absolutely no character FTL, and don't tell me read the books, I didn't have to read the books after playing another game to tell me what my protagonist was like) and Tidus though in many ways he wasn't as bad as Cloud.
