I don't think any SS units participated in the invasion of Crete. I'll check and see if they did occupation duty, but I tend to doubt it.

I can see one major flaw in this Role Play. if we are all creating our own characters then how will they meet up and become friends. I don't see the Darths SS trooper and Sorrow's bar gunner working toghether to sole a murder. if this Role Play does play though I would just like to remind everyone that I FUCKING CALL A POSITION. I am not getting left out of another role play that does not involve giant robotic spiders.

There were no Americans on crete. Find another charecter. Neither were there SS Darth, though I supposed you could be attached to a FallschirmJaeger regiment.

And why do we need to solve a murder? Why don't we just re-fight the battle of Crete?

I'll play a ethically questionable Cretan shopkeeper, whose interest is not in taking sides but in making some money out of this.

Yeah, we've done non-murderous RPs that did fine until Rain screwed the pooch with his Giant Spider thing. After that, no one took that thread seriously.

Can someone tell me how, exactly, forum RP works? I've been RPing for about 3 years now, playing(and sometimes DMing) D&D sessions and Neverwinter Nights.

But I just don't get how forum RP works, is it regulated by a DM or is it all just one big god emote?

Oh, I don't deny it was amusing, but so was Betty. The whole roleplay was based off the Escapist's crusaders against the trolls, it's hard to ruin that kind of concept with weirdness, it was already weird. My character was pretty serious, but that's because it was good practice for character development, which I suck at it.
EDIT- Crap, now I sound too serious... Just ignore me please.

So... it's not a murder RP now? Oh, that cleared a few things up. I was wondering how a war RP was going to work.

Hey, Giant Spiders are real. Obviously you haven't been to Australia.

Ok, I'll play. Of course I'll be an ANZAC legend. Australian not New Zeland. And how many giant spiders did they have at Crete?

The Australians had around 7. They also also had two scorpions, a butterfly, 9 worms and Dr Phil. Making 10 worms.

The way we roleplay is to have around 12 people set in a location. This could be a zombie ridden mall or a space ship. Then 12 plaayers are placed in this location for whatever reason is relevant to the story. They then walk around, doing stuff. This stuff is determined by the..... Role Play master (???) and the plot he/she has writen out.

So far the two main roleplays have had murders in which one character is killed (I'm guessing the one who puts in the the least effort) and then the other players must find out who killed them. When they think they know who killed them then the suspect is killed, usually in gruesome ways.

Unlike normal D&D you don't have a quest per say. You more or less just sit around talking to people and then trying to figure out who did the deed. Or take part in action when the story permits it. So far I have not taken part in any of the Roleplays due to my nice nature of letting people go before me but this time I FUCKING CALL A SPOT.

Fire Daemon, it was my understanding that who was killed was whoever the dice decided would die, I mean Purps died in the Starcraft one, but I'm not totally sure. Next time, I'll mention you when I sign up. Hopefully you'll get in, but these things are huge and a lot of people want in. If the Zombie RP was any bigger, it would implode and create a gravity field capable of destroying the universe.

Yeah, I used dice to randomly knock off people and choose the killer. After choosing the killer I worked a story around that and the twist.

Puppet master. Not like the Ghost in the shell one, more like a lazy god.
