Maybe, maybe not. Everyone would make ideas for a Role Play and the thread will be a jumbled mass of Ideas and Praise for ideas. This will turn into an argument in say....5 minutes:

"My roleplay is better than thou Role Play"
"Your a twat"
"Your mums a twat"
etc etc
This is the Escapist. It would be more civilised.
Out of spite

Ooooooo u r wired

Ok ok joke, I do think we'd better not overrun the place with RP's. If we do the mods will start to cull the herd.

Ohhhh, I just thought of another great lynching one. Fallout. Some backwater mining town (a bit like Redding)... things go sour. You could have any position in the town: whore, mayor, cops, sheriff, bartender, mechanic, minner and you can be a ghoul, human or super mutant.

Just casting it out there.

I like it...
Also possibilities: C&C/Red Alert, Warcraft/Warhammer Fantasy (we've yet to do a fantasy one), or Bioshock/System Shock.

Ghoul carpenter that is constantly losing limbs while cutting and filing timber. Or how about a super mutant prostitue that's running low on cash.

There was a Bioshock one I was wanting to do, but the zombies were better.

I vote Warhammer, but that's even less well known than 40k and some people had problems with the 40k setting as it is.

If we do a Warhammer fantasy RolePlay I would like to be a Skaven of any rank higher than Clanrat. An Assassin maybe?

I'll go out on a limb here and say no Skaven unless we're all Skaven. Still, that would be quite awesome; all the infighting, murdering, backstabbing, lynching and distrusting would be practically expected for the setting. Yes-yes, this idea could be great-great!

I dunno much 'bout Skavvies. They play with funky lightning stones don't they? Oh, and incidentally, might be a house rule that you have to run any sub-plots you wanna start up past the GM, so's we don't have too many!

You people are no fun. D on't ruin it for the rest of us just because you weren't white, middle-class, male teenage geeks with too much financial support from your parents.

It really isn't that hard to follow the Warhammer Fantasy storyline thingy.

If it is Skaven oriented then all you need to know is:

Underneath the Empire lives a race of rat men. These creatures seperate themselves into Clans, the clans often argue and fight with each other, occasionaly fighting creatures on the surface.

The four main clans are Clan Skryre, Clan Moulder, Clan Eshin, and Clan Pestilens.

Clan Skryre specialise in Machines and a substance called Warpstone. They use this Warpstone which is magic in the form or a rock to power their devices such as the Warpstone Lightning cannons and Warfire throwers. Clan Skyre sell these machines to other clans for use in combat however they usually only sell to the side most likely to win. The weapos also blow up a lot.

Clan Eshin are made up mostly of Assassins. They perform assassinations for other clans if they pay enough. In Battle clan Eshin troops are used as skirmishes and scouts who disturb the enemy lines from the flanks. The Assassins are usually sent wizard hunting.

Clan Moulder create giant beasts for war. These involve rat ogres or giant rats. These beasts are sold to the other clans and are used as the strong hitting units to compensate for the rather weak skaven military.

Clan Pestilens are a bunch of diseased Fanatics. The worship death and decay and are usually swarming with diseases. They make very powerful poisions. Plague monks (main fighting force) sell themselves to other clans.

There you go, that is the basics for Skaven. If you want I could go into more depth but I just feel to lazy at the moment. If we do make a skaven RP then it will be perfect for the murder scenario. Well atleast better then the Zombie one.

Maybe we could all be members of the Council of 13. Hmmm that might work...

It's "Skryre". Oh, and you didn't mention Grey Seers. They're big. But other than that, if only because I want to dream, I'd say that you've got all the necessary basics there.

You are clearly missing the irony of your post Fire.
I thought that at first, but although you could argue that the Skaven backstory is too complicated, Fire cut it down to the bare bones and you can see his main points are quite simple:
They live underground, in an empire of tunnels below everyone else.
There are four clans:
Moulder: Mad scientists with monsters.
Skryre: Mad scientists with technology.
Eshin: Ninja rats.
Pestilens: Plague rats.
I'd add some of my own that hardly makes it that much more complicated.
There are lots of minor skaven clans.
All clans, minor or major are locked in an internecine struggle for power.
The Council of 13 is the 13 most powerful ratmen, practically everlasting and unimaginably powerful, but they have to be sure no rat below them gets any ideas. They have overall control over all clans.
Grey Seers are albino wizard rats addicted like druggies to warpstone. Emissaries for the Council.
