HOLY HELL! Yahtzee to review FFXIII

Ok, so, you obviously don't pay much attention to ZP if you've overlooked the ones he's already reviewed, yet you're also blatantly quite new...what are you?!
Hmm... Yahtzee to review a game which he is sure to reject and deride on its very premise?
I'm fairly certain I can predict the main elements of his review:
- Awesome cutscenes we can't play (see: his DMC review)
- Linear gameplay/storytelling (see: his TWEWY review), and little interaction between gameplay and story
- Boys who look like girls
- Spiky hairstyles
- Auto-combat which makes it seem like you're mostly watching
I'll be tickled if he decides to go down the whole "lack of exposition explaining everything" part, since if he bitches about that I'll be able to truly be irked at his review.

Well, we have two possible outcomes. Either he tears it to shreds in his usual manner, or all hell freezes over and angels descend from heaven and he concedes that it's not that bad. Sorry fanboys I'm going for number 1.

Seriously though it was hard not to see this coming. If maybe would have taken awhile but their is no real reason for him not review it unless you count his hatred of jrpgs. Though this hasn't stop him from reviewing a few in the last two years. Hopefully it'll be a funny review though.

Having said that, why does everyone care if he decides the game is a whole lot of over-rated hype? It's not gonna stop you playing it if you're a fan.
Ultimately, a game critic is a CRITIC. They're gonna criticise things. It kinda goes with the job.

I just listened to it. It's hardly a definitive thing. He seemed to say it more jokingly than anything else. He may not have even been serious about it. All that said, I would look forward to such a review, but I wouldn't exactly lose sleep if he never talked about it.
Since I gave up on Final Fantasy ages ago, when I realized that, no matter how many times people tell me "Oh, don't play that one, play THIS one! It's better!" And after I realized they had no clue what they were talking about, since they ALL suck, I'm rather interested to hear his review on it.
I like to hear Yahtzee rant, but I've never ever taken him seriously. I like FFXIII and really don't care what anyone thinks...
