HOLY HELL! Yahtzee to review FFXIII

Let's be honest. The only reason anyone loves ZP is because he's an over the top critic. Every time he criticises an element of a game, he does so in such a dramatic way that we are either brought to laughter or moved to hideous anger.
Bearing this in mind (and of course his hatred for all such games) his wisest move would be to hate it. Make everyone laugh. Apart from the fanboys. They will be moved to anger and start a hellstorm of comments, of course advertising ZP in the process.

tl;dr - He's smart, so he'll hate it, so everyone will talk about him.

Well, we have two possible outcomes. Either he tears it to shreds in his usual manner, or all hell freezes over and angels descend from heaven and he concedes that it's not that bad. Sorry fanboys I'm going for number 1.

He may do both by starting off giving a bullsh*t great review and then say ha yeah like THAT COULD POSSIBLY BE TRUE. he has done this before bioshock 2 for example. that said I have never witnessed a divine miracle so a nice review would be a pleasure to see. much more interested in seeing what he thinks of no more heroes 2 as for all his b*tching he said that he rather enjoyed the first one

Great. Now we get to see a hateful man with rigid, narrow rules about good game storytelling review a game that tells a great story in a way he doesn't like. Yeah, this will definitely be more than a biased, ignorant hate-fest. Like the intelligent discussions he's had in the past about JRPGs, and web comics.

I love his reviews, but he is not above taking the time to just rant incessantly about something he hates irrationally. JRPGs are but one example, if the most prominent. I'm not looking forward to seeing him tear apart a great game with ethnocentrism and narrow views.

Same here. I stopped watching his senseless ranting.

It seems this is a common stance among folks who have been here awhile. Ironic that so many dedicated forumites have turned against the show that likely brought them here. I still watch ZP every week, but it's more out of a desire to kill five minutes than any real fanhood.

I'm an FF fan, and I'm looking forward to his review, where he'll inevitably cane it. The game gets rid of things about the game that FF players like, and tries to introduce action-y things to bring in new gamers who won't be tempted by it because its got FF on the front. There is, imo, nothing good about this game other than "oooh pretty".

On the one hand a review from a self-styled JRPG hater is of dubious informative value. On the other hand seeing the perspective of someone who isn't familiar with the series could be interesting.

Still, if the 'humour' consists of more "Dur dur dude looks like a girl dur dur dur" type comments I won't be impressed.

Sorry this is all off topic, but to some it is.
I have not been on forums long (this is my first), but even I know people like being first to reply to things. I am not saying that is what you did, just that people do try and you just happened to without trying.

Don't care about FFXIII but to hear a ZP on a jrpg would be awesome.

Slightly off topic but couldn't think of anywhere else to ask. Does anyone happen to know where I could redownload the overindulgence podcast now that the site is down? Use to have every episode on my computer but then sadly it died in a very final way meaning I could not retrieve the intel from its hard drive now I only have episode 18 but its not enough I want them all but all I can find are links to the dormant site
