HOLY HELL! Yahtzee to review FFXIII

im not surprised that he's reviewing it at all. He's reviewed a few JRPG's and i know that he's going rip the hell out of Final Fantasy XIII but im still going to watch it and probably laugh to. I knew he was going to review this because at the end of his Borderlands review the comment at the end said "Now hopefully i've shut the fanboys up, at least until FF XIII" so he was giving a hint that he would probably review it.

It was probably more a joke proclaiming that when FFXIII hit the shelves, the request letters will fill his inbox until it leaks.

I don't care what he does. It's not really a review it's just a five minute animated berate of the developers for them even attempting to muck up yahtzee's perfect world of Half Life.
I honestly thought FF fans were smarter than the average Be- gamer. But nevermind.

Why exactly did he agree to review it? Did the Escapist ask him to do it because they're desperate for pageviews and figure a repeat of the SSBB comment thread will get them more? Did so many people write to him begging him to tear it to shreds that he finally gave in? I don't quite understand.

This is interesting news. I would have thought that Yahtzee would have avoided this thing like the plague. Anyway, I can't wait to see this and I'm waiting for his review of God of War III.

It will be the same as any other review. He will point out the bad parts, make jokes, we will all laugh and I will go back to playing Final Fantasy. Thats all his reviews are good for, a laugh.

Ehh... That's something you don't actually see often. Persona 4 is one of the only examples that comes to mind. Even when it's done, it's done in an obvious "this girl is trying to act like a boy" kind of way. When they do bishonen men, they play it straight (no pun intended); the men aren't attempting to be effeminate, they just are.

Unless there's some breast binding of the most extreme variety further into the game than I am, she never looks particularly mannish. Even at her most masculine, she's decidedly female.

And... Yeah, Persona 4 had both kinds, didn't it. The guy with the bike (whose name I can't remember) looks about as girly as a boy can get, and the girl in your avatar looks more like a man
