that made me laugh a lot, which comedian was it? if you remember :)
He's an Italian American comedian, makes jokes about people of different races beating you down in different styles and that his Italian relatives say stuff like "hey, no offence, but your sister is a fucking whore". He appears on the comedy store quite a bit.
thanks, ill keep an eye out for him
Sounds like Dom Irerra.

He did do a whole thing about people who insult you and then reverse on it with either 'no offence' or 'but in a good way you know?'

I seem to remember Louis CK doing a wonderful bit on the gay guys living near him.

Just about the more .... flamboyant ones and how they make him just laugh, and then he's demonised for laughing at someone who looks funny.

I'm similar, I wouldn't laugh at someone for being gay, but I might at laugh at you if you look like a radioactive Xmas decoration.

On the flip side, Russell Howard made a good point about the gay couple arrested for disturbing the peace, by continually kissing on a flight, the gay couple being...affectionate.

* kiss kiss*
*will you stop that?'
'no...* kiss kiss*
angry homophobe gets angrier...
'OI! Stop it! Its not natural!'
'You're flying!'
*turns back to his boyfriend*

There again, I do think public displays could do with being reigned in a bit at times, whatever your choice of partner. Of course that could be simple jealousy at me not getting any. What's that old line? 'I'd be bisexual, but I don't need double the rejection'.

The thing I hate about this whole Homosexuality fracas, is how they are made to seem like some sort of special people. .pleeeeaasse, i dont care about what you do in your bedroom, keep it to yourself thank you!

Everyone was made a Man or a Woman, dont come and tell me you were born that way, does that even make sense, yeh! I was also born liking RPGs, it isnt my fault. Sure! You choose the way you want to live, why blame nature?

And I think it?s interesting that being less than completely accepting of homosexuality automatically gets you branded as being a knuckle-dragging, closed-minded, ground-sloth. Isn?t that a little? closed-minded? Can?t a person disagree with the lifestyle as the result of sincere conviction or a thorough chain of thinking, not out of stupidity or bigotry? Consider the possibility.
(Fixed for you)

In short, easy-to-understand terms: No.

In long, not so easy to understand terms: Firstly, I have never seen any evidence that the homosexual community is treat as 'special' by society, aside from the fact they sometimes hold these very odd-looking marches, but quite frankly every Tom, Dick and Harry seems to do that in protest of, "the war", or other rather unimportant things. At least homosexuals have the decency to accept they are a minority, unlike some of these blasted social reformers who act as if every right-thinking person cannot possibly disagree with them.

"The lifestyle". What lifestyle? The only universal 'lifestyle' had by the homosexual community is that they are attracted to the same sex. I hear this comment a lot, and it really is a particularly interesting exercise in stupidity. Is "The Lifestyle":

Drug Taking? But we straights do that to.
Wearing bright clothes? So now every man wearing bright clothes is homosexual. Damn, I'll just have to go and tell my parents that they won't be having grandkids.
Nonviolence? Why, the Dalai Lama is most offended.

Get this straight: There is no gay 'lifestyle', barring a semi-unnatural sexual preference. The 'lifestyle' is, as you put it, simply a populisation of the gay community around San Fransisco and other areas. It is hardly a universal lifestyle choice for homosexuals, and is, quite frankly, a fairly benign one at it's worst. There is really nothing objectionable about it, beyond their sporadic drug-taking, and even that has produced a spectacular piece of poetry (The Man with Night Sweats, by Thom Gunn)

In short you have no reasonable objection to their actions beyond bigotry.

You didnt have to write an Essay, and i didnt understand, the first two sentences you wrote.

What is a Lifestyle? isnt it simply the way someone lives? dont you have a lifestyle? i have one though.

I have no reasonal objection...ROTFL..and you can call me a Bigot,

I have an objection to the lifestyle because i think its against Nature and plainly absurd.

Doesnt mean i hate or want to wage a war against those who do it . . .

every and anybody can have homosexual relations, the skin doesnt have a brain or eyes.

I know a certain O'Reilly that's going to be very surprised to hear about this.

Expect him to fact-check it.

If you're lying, you better come out (again) and admit it now.

I have absolutely no idea why anyone would dislike a person or group of people because they're attracted to the person of the same sex. At my school( it's an all boys school mind) there was 1 gay guy who left after my first year and there were incidents where groups of people just threw things at him for no reason and i still can't figure out why the fuck they would, so he likes guys whoop-de-fucking-doo. To be honest i like gay people, i think they're cool, especially hot lesbians.

I remember when my cousin came out to me, he asked me if I hated him for it. I felt so awful that he'd even have thought to ask that. Some of his friends had outright rejected him, others just acted weird around him. To his parent's credit they were very supportive (somewhat surprisingly actually). Another friend of mine has told his mother but is too scared to tell his father and another refuses to tell her parents at all, which I find rather tragic.

As I said to my cousin - as long as it's not animals or children, I don't care what you screw.

Read. My. God. Damned. Posts. All of them. The reason there is so many long, complex words is to actually explain my point of view clearly. (And because I stand by the view that if your not willing to read, you don't deserve to vote.)

The term 'Homosexual lifestyle' is an utter, abject failure in joined-up thinking, as the only thing that the majority of homosexuals have in common is that they are attracted to members of the same sex. Beyond that, there is no commonality of the gay community! A gay man in California does not behave in the same manner as one in Japan, and so on.

Saying you do not approve of the lifestyle is, therefore, either saying:

A) You do not approve of same-sex relations, for that it the ONLY homosexual universal.
B) You do not approve of wearing bright clothes, taking drugs and acting strangely, which is simply like saying 'I object to people having fun.'

Your phrasing is a cop-out, you are saying 'I don't like gays', but trying to imply a broader disapproval so as to make yourself seem less of a killjoy.

And as for the 'against nature' argument, so is:

Anal sex of all kinds.
Masturbation.
Flight.
Swimming.
Eating cooked food.
Coca-cola and other carbonated beverages.
Alcoholic drinks of above 10% in concentration.
Cake.
Guns.
Plastic.
Petrol.
Keeping pets.

And did it take you so long to know that..yeh i dont approve of same-sex relationships, i wonder what my posts have been about.

Against the natural order, yeh and now your comparing it to guns, pets and such..DUH! doesnt still make it one with Nature. .Your reasoning is skewered

Actually, given my reasoning has gained me acceptance to Newcastle university, I'd say it's pretty good, eh? My point is that condemning something as 'unnatural' is an utter failure in the art of joined-up thinking, when we all commit unnatural acts, or utilise the products of unnatural acts every day.

You just have problems, that's all.

Nope.

Well, if it's a sincere conviction along the lines of 'the pig is an unclean animal' then sure. However, people who follow those kind of sincere convictions don't feel the need to "disagree" with people who eat pork. There's the difference.

As for a thorough chain of thinking? Haven't seen one yet that wasn't stupid or bigoted.
I dont feel the need to disagree with anybody, everyman to his own abi? dont just shove it in my face and try to make me feel bad for not liking it.

If i dont like the unclean pig, i dont expect to see people gnashing their teeth and calling me a Hater.[And the Hater thing--------> gross sign of insecurity]

You know you get gay elephants, dogs, monkeys, etc. which is pretty strong evidence for homosexuality being a natural thing, and just look throughout human history there are countless examples of gayness. If it was just some fad or rouge genetics then why would it be so prevalent throughout the natural world. So you can disagree with it if you wish but its perfectly natural and its not going to go away.
