I have absolutely no idea why anyone would dislike a person or group of people because they're attracted to the person of the same sex. At my school( it's an all boys school mind) there was 1 gay guy who left after my first year and there were incidents where groups of people just threw things at him for no reason and i still can't figure out why the fuck they would, so he likes guys whoop-de-fucking-doo. To be honest i like gay people, i think they're cool, especially hot lesbians.
As far as I can tell, they're are at least polite.

Are you kidding?
Being gay is almost like wearing a medal around your neck in today's society. No one, save the older generations, will say anything bad about homosexuals.

My English teacher is gay, and a bunch of people in band. I'm not really close friends with any of them, though.

Here's a better question, does it honestly matter what you do for 'pleasure'? Why can't people see this dammit?!

In Western Civilization, it's not such a big deal anymore. We've come to understand their viewpoints and opinions better and no longer fear the unknown factor that homosexuality brings into play.
However, in other sections of the world it's not the same. In Asia, The Middle east, and Africa, 11 countries have death penalties for being Homosexual.
In the U.S. 4 states have no hate crimes laws. 14 states have hate crime laws that don't include protections based on sexual orientation.
In open society, most will say "I'm not homophobic", but once you close that door... It's a whole new world.
"It's the best and worst time to be gay. There's an unprecedented level of visibility and activism, but with that an unprecedented level of backlash and opposition." -Kevin Jennings, founder of the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network.

Wearing a medal? Man I wanna live where you do! Just last week at the gay club (organization on campus I call it that for shorthand) a guy at closing was walking with his friend home and two thugs tried to beat him up, they said he had a..what was it? bump in his walk (Forget the actual phrase but like a strut/other stereotypical viewpoint). Anyway yeah, couldn't have put it better myself Asch, though like it was said, there is hope and there has been change: During the last 10, 15 years, HRC has noticed in every area of the corporate world on GLBT stuff has gone up, in some things dramatically (stuff like policies on sexual harassment, counseling or services, GLBT-affirmative other stuff) =)

It's funny, isn't it? Most of those thugs walk with a strut and will probably get turned out by some guy in jail... it's like they're trying to punch a mirror.

Hold on, you get a medal? Who wants to make out?

I was fairly active in a few gay rights campaigns during my college years but I kind of see homosexuals the same way I see everyone else. The majority of them are douchebags. That's got nothing to do with the fact they're homosexuals though.

Bible says no. Sorry guys, but I think it is disgusting and should be abolished. I am being serious, I can NOT stand people who push gay agendas or even say they are. I just can't hold them up to the same moral light...

The bible also says you shouldn't eat shellfish, that women shoudl be subserviant to their hussbands, that slavery is ok, that you can sell your daughter into slavery (Lot), and beside all that, you can't "abolish" gay people, what you send all of us to an island, to a camp to be gassed? Homosexuality has been in ALL cultures throughout ALL TIME. Some very influential figures all through history were gay.

I dunno why when someone isn't straight it's something that's mindblowing to most. I'm asexual (as in don't care about sex/gender I don't want it) and when I tell people this, they're either shocked/confused or they just say I'm lucky ("because I don't have to deal with the financial costs of a relationship).

Anyone who says sexuality is a choice has not a clue in the world, I didn't choose this way of life I had a few girlfriends and nothing worked out, it was only annoying and boring, and things wound up mutual friends or just separated. It's clearly something deeper written into your head.

I know this isn't "gay" so it's a bit off topic but it still qualifies as not straight.

Homesexuality is not a choice. Pretending to be lesbian is, but whether you are truly attracted to a member of the same sex or not is not your choice. Believe me, with all of the prejudice and inequality, I would have chosen to be straight if it was purely by choice. But I can't. I'm bisexual (or possibly pansexual), and that's the way I am. You can no more choose to be gay or straight than you can choose to have green or blue eyes.
Do you love something that is not human?

The old testament said no. Unless your a hardcore jew, the old testament was replaced with the NEW testament. That was the whole purpose of Jesus,to update the teachings.

So you fail at your faith.

Unless your Jewish.

Jews sort of have it right, they believe that everyone has sinned but embrace them nonetheless.

No. What being pansexual means, according to what Labyrinth said, is that the pansexual person is attracted to individuals, without gender being a barrier. So, a bi person is attracted to males and females, but may have a leaning towards either side, while pansexuals are right smack-dab in the middle.

Pansexual means you can find love with anything, be it animate or inanimate if the definition is to be believed.

1: i can't stop reading this in the same voice as the lady who says 'computer says nooo' from little britain.
2: the bible also says that a man who refuses to impregnate his widowed sister in law, a rebellious child, and adulterer, or a common thief should be put to death, that an un-wed virgin should be required to marry her rapist, that you can sell your daughter into slavery to pay your debts, that the righteous should consider castration, and that a woman who grabs the testicles of a man arguing with her husband must have her hand cut off [apparently this was a common problem back in the day?]. not to mention the fact that there's a hebrew-speaking donkey and giants roaming the earth. not only is the bible totally immoral, it's impossible to take remotely seriously.
3: i'm really confused as to how you would 'abolish' homosexuality. are we going to institute a branch of the government specifically to monitor cameras placed in everyone's bedrooms? because that wouldn't work either, you know. people do shag in the kitchen from time to time.

Honestly I have no issues with gay people whatsoever and from what I've seen around me people are finally starting to be more accepting.

Nothing wrong with homosexuality. I'm a big supporter of gay rights, and living in Arkansas I keep getting told that the only reason I support them is because I'm a closet queer. You know, like how all those white people supporting the equal rights movement were black people in disguise.

But homosexuals are a clean and polite group of people, and they've been that way ever since they came here from France.
