How badly have you ever been physically hurt?

When I started learning parkour.
If you don't know what it is then look here:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=IjQxIRWZu0c

During my 4th training session I managed to land really poorly following what was only about a 7 or 8 foot drop, unfortunately the way I landed basically resulted in my right leg collapsing underneath me.
The result was hip dilocation, right knee and ankle dislocated, right shoulder went too as I hit the ground and broke 2 of my fingers.
All in all I did kind of fuck it up but 3 months later I started again and all of my injuries since then have been fairly minor.

I had a short lived condition of Pericarditis (spelling lulz), it's where the lining around your heart inflames and it is potentially lethal.
It was the worst pain I have ever been exposed to in my life. They say it's worse than having a heart attack and it took 3 shots of morphine and a great deal of anti-inflammatory's to stop the pain.

Yeowch it looks like a lot of the repliers here have sustained some real owies.

I've broken a bunch of bones over the years but only had a few bad ones (neither one was life-threatening). They just prove how sweet I am.

The first bad one was when I broke the top of my foot when I landed on it after jumping for a slam in table tennis. Broke it in three places and ripped a tendon out of its sheath, which unfortunately was not noticed by my doctor and I had to have it surgically repaired one year later.

The second and thankfully less time-consuming one was when I got kidney stones almost a year ago. Thought I was having girly cramps until I got dizzy and puked. That shit is really painful, and I'm genetically doomed for more it seems.

I got kicked in the head after going over a ump in a sled, I had a egg sized bump on my head. I've stayed away from Willamette Pass since.

I have shattered my skull twice, have had over 275 stitches, and belt sanded my fingers off from the knuckle down to the bone. Broke my wrist on my left hand 13 times, and stepped on a hot coal with bare feet. The last time I broke my arm the doctor made me promise him I wouldn't skateboard ever again. I agreed, and now I play golf LOL. I am an accident just waiting to happen it would seem. Oh, and as previous people have said...it's good to have a high pain tolerance.

I have copped a baseball into the face which broke my nose.

I have also had someone kick the anus out of a football (soccer ball), which impacted only on my pinky finger. It knocked my finger sideways into at least a 45 degree angle to my hand. Really bad break which almost broke my pinky finger in half.

I think i'm in your boat with the genetic kidney stones. My father got them and i am fairly sure my grandfather got them as well.
I'm looking forward to those!

My last injury was going at great speed against a table and the impact gave me a cut on the leg (it was a round sided table).

But my worst injuries were 3 blows two the head, two of them where rocks falling on it...

... Hmmm I guess that explains a lot

Punched in the face a couple of times and my dad used to smack me when I was little and naughty (by the way I agree with him, smacking kids should be allowed if it's your own kids and you have a valid reason, like discipline. Sorry, just wanted to make my views known). Otherwise, being punched in the balls (happened last night actually...). My brother cut his knee open when riding his bike, rode into a road sign and had to have stitches.

I skateboarded for a number of years, which should tell you enough.

Recently I cut both of my hands in two separate incidents in the same day at work. On cardboard. CARDBOARD! It didn't really hurt that much I just thought it was messed up.

This transcends physical pain.
I can sometimes have lucid dreams (realize you're dreaming and then control it.) I am asleep one night when I realize I'm having a... dirty dream. The fact I'm getting laid instantly tips me off, but instead of gaining control the realization hits me so hard I wake up. Imagine the worst case of blue balls, and the trow in every kick to the nads you've ever had.
Ow.

I've been pretty lucky. I've never been hurt seriously or had any broken bones.

Although one time when I was 7 or so I was dropped directly on my head. It was only a foot drop or so (or for everyone outside the US, about a 1/3 meter), but I was unconcious for an hour or so

Hmm, car crash, got a concussion.
Shot in the leg.
Buckshot to the back.
Horse threw me once. One of the only time I got on one, too.
Three stab wounds.
Shall I continue?
Yes, please do continue.

Two words, blow up. There was a car fire on my street and I wen't to help realizing no one was there as I walked away dialing 911 on my phone, boom I'm out of it for 3 weeks. (No severe burn except scars on my back)

Appendix out, the 7 hours perceeding the operation were not fun.
Had my two top parent teeth replaced with false ones after I got knocked down onto asphalt and lots them. Surprisingly to most dentists I see, they still fit after 8 years without replacement or modification.

Ow.
The same thing happens me to every time I'm having a sex-based lucid dream, except it doesn't really hurt. It's just kinda disappointing to know you just barely missed living every fantasy you've every dreamed of.

Ummm....many occasions spring to mind, but one that particularly
stands out was the time when my friends and I were bike-riding, and
stupidly, we thought it would be quite the adrenaline "rush" to cycle by
this one particular vicious mutt called "Casper"!!!

In the process of this moronic act, we didn't anticipate the speed
this mutt could reach, and before I knew what had happened
Casper's fangs were lodged in my upper leg...

I got what I deserved......:) i.e a tetanus in the a**!!!
