I live somewhat close to Coca Cola headquarters and "the largest aquarium in the world" or the Georgia Aquarium as I commonly refer to it, in Atlanta.

Actually, I suppose you could count Mount Snowdon, that's fairly nearby.
Same here mate. the only thing i can think of is Brymbo Steel works which made some of the best steel in the world (it was where wilkison sword started off)
not that its exacly famous now my house is sitting on where the canteen used to be lol

Edit:
mabey Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch since its got the longest place name
Oh you Wrecsam? How is it there? I've never been. I'm too far afield to visit from Anglesey.

Uh.
I live near Bantry?
It's, uh. It's reasonably famous for the mussels that come from there.

But yeah, I'm pretty sure the only thing in Ireland anyone could ever consider a "monument" would be Newgrange.
And that's all the way up in County Meath (I think).
Nobody lives in Meath!
Meath sucks!

(Meath does not actually suck)
(Yes it does)

Pfft, I don't know. Pretty barren. There's not all that much to do here for a teen, but otherwise there's a lot of clifftop walks, mountain hiking and that sort of thing. Yeah, it's all right here.

Let's see, the closest well-known monument... The CN Tower? Many, many miles/kilometres.

I live about 20 minutes away from Niagara Falls, and I can see the CN Tower across Lake Ontario from my house (if I stand on the roof)

Is the grave of Pocahontas a famous monument?
Bluewater shopping mall?

I'm right near both of those, if not then I'm about an 1 from London.

I live like an hour from the CN tower.

Its one of the tallest buildings in the world [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_freestanding_structures_in_the_world]... yeah thats about it.
Man that thing is ugly.

OT: I live in Norwich, I don't think we have any landmarks. Although my school has the barn which had the horse which inspired some person to write Black Beauty, so suck on that.

Perhaps not famous but we do have an uterly ridiculous one in Dublin.
