How did you first end up at the escapist?

I was on another forum with Fat Man Spoon, Sassafrass, Nitpicker of the Wastes & Xandus the Legend. I think Xandus linked us all here, saying the forums were ace.

I always heard of that story, what was the forum?

Anyway, I joined because my brother and me watched Zero Punctuation - boring, I know, but there's a whole lot of events that led up to and stemmed from that.

It was either through the forums at The Vault [http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_Wiki] or through another site which was making a stand-alone mod for Fallout 3, something along the lines of Point Lookout, only with Tiff Needell being killed. When I joined that mod site, it was a small community, had most of the people Para mentioned in his post I think and was fairly close-knit. Not sure on the details but last I saw/heard, it was being deleted as it was a Wikia site or some such and was basically vandalized by someone.

When the escapist just began it got ultra famous, because there is no other page like it, so it was very hard not to hear from it, especially if you are into gaming.

I started watching ZP and for about a year I completely ignored the rest of the site. Then I found out they had Unforgotten realms a show which I'd watched intermittently in the past. After a while I started looking at some other shows, saw a few interesting threads in the update box, read some articles, and before I knew it escapist was in my opening tab set.

I found the Prototype Zero Punctuation episode after the...well...womanly pictures of Cole and Alex Mercer.

Me too, those images plague my dreams for days.

Same here, tho I printed them out and they are now on my wall.

Some people say that were aroused by that picture of Alex Alexa.

If I could be bothered, it'd be interesting to count how many people came here because of ZP. Because I'm one of them too. I didn't really care for the Escapist at first, and only saw it as a way to watch ZP episodes. Wasn't until a couple of months later that I actually bothered to check out the rest of the site.

Pretty much that, but i'd be more interested to see who followed him here from youtube and who heard of him after he got here and then came to the site.

It was so long ago, I don't remember.

I think I was banned from gamespot's forums and I was an internet forum refugee looking for a home.

goes to show that gamespot sucks, btw if you don't mind asking, why did you got banned?

admittedly, i'm a little misogynistic. I had made some posts which flew under the radar for quite some time, months actually.

There was this "gurl gamer" on there who was a massive attention whore and I called her on it. So she went through my posting history and reported like 3 posts in a row, which then got me banned.

After I figured out what happened, I laughed.
