Back when I played Guild Wars years ago, my main character was a monk named Moe the Mighty Monk. I always liked the character and the name, so I just shortened it a bit.

One dude had the most ridiculous gamer tag imaginable. ILIKEWAFFLES!!!11!!!
I kind of laughed when that person had scored 20k damage with the tank. I went "what the fuh-uck?"
I mixed it with my enjoyment of the commonly underrated species of hippos.
Seriously, do NOT fuck with them. They'll have you for breakfast.

I wanted something personal yet satirical. So I am adventurer #2,626. One of the many "faceless adventurers" that pilgrimage through the sci-fi and fantasy worlds of our age. To accentuate the satire of the hobo/farmer/faceless nobody -> Uber Superhero plot of most games/books goes my favourite number: 26. I put it in twice for added poignancy and because I think it needs to be.
It's just my xbl gamertag. I have other handles though. I'm especially fond of noob-PWNr that I use on chess.com and a few other places.
The album I was listening to when I signed up was called Neuromance.... hence, I am a Neuromantic.

Something I read had a similar name when I was sixteen and because I was a teenager, I thought it sounded cool. I added Nexus to it as a surname for the overpowered dragon god character I made from the name and kept it ever since to remind me of my ego and that I am not really as cool as I presume.

Mine was a random name given in the gamertag generator on X-Box live. I've used it for everything, I've even found it already in use on some sites.
wow i'm going to have a nerdgasim remembering this...originally it was kit fisto60 on runescape (back when it was cool to play it) then i joined a naruto forum site and switched it to evilninja60 and i decided to keep it as my perm username.

Mine is a name of my main character in a series I am slowly writing. I usually use this name except on random sites like Myspace or Youtube. On an Rp site I used my character's name, and on youtube it's just Lokiduck, the combined name of my two evil Rubber ducks. I almost went with that. but just liked using ArtticWitchica instead.
