I'm convinced that the press got the two mixed up.
I think Episode 3's existence was the myth and DNF was the one that was always destined to come out.

Now that you've pointed it out, i'm rather amused.

I mean, valve fanboys are hilarious as it is. This makes it funnier.
... Halflife 2 ep 3 will be (assassinated by fanboy killing ninja).

OT. That is rather funny and sad how valve works on games ( aka Valve time), it is almost like valve was working on Duke Nukem :FE as well.

Just kidding, as long as portal 2 comes out next your I'm fine waiting awhile for episode 3.

Now that you mention it... damn. It's more depressing than anything. But you never know. Valve could just as well pull a surprise on us. *crosses fingers*

Yes... you never know.

Dude ... It's the videogame apocalypse. Think about It, we have three of the four horseman, Duke Nukem Forever, the return of Jack Thompson, and now this California deal. All we need Episode 3 to not only come out but cap off the series and It's over.

Episode 3? If it's not Half Life 3, I'll kill Gabe Newell.
Indeed, though deep down I have a feeling that it may just as well be Half Life 3. It's been so long and they've said nothing (that I'm aware of,) about it besides delaying episode 3, so my bets are on them attempting to surprise us with a full new game instead of an episode.

Stop throwing your stuffed animals across the room! You'll break a lamp or something.

I don't really care much. It's only been 3 years since Episode 2 (pretty long for episodic releases, though) but DMF has been in development for, what, 11 years now? Plus Valve has actually worked on things in this time, while 3D Realms hasn't given us anything.

Yeah, I second that. At this stage a full sequel on a new engine would be the only way it won't be a huge let-down.
Yup and it should go all out like this pic.

Valve time people, valve time. Half Life 2 Episode 3 won't be out for YEARS to come. My KIDS will be old enough to pass the "M" rating when it comes out. Now Duke Nukem is different, because I NEVER thought it would come out.

Don't give a fuck.

I've been able to play fantastic games like Left 4 Dead (2), Portal and Team Fortress 2 while waiting. Plus, I'd rather they take their time to release a game than to rush it to earn some cheap cash (which is just about every other gaming company these days).

I really don't care about either. Actually, that's a lie. It'll be nice to see all the Half Life fanboys throw a hissy fit.

I'm not overwhelmingly happy about it since I have a funny feeling Duke Nukem may not be very good.

Still, I'm more likely to enjoy a Duke Nukem game over anything with the character that must not be named. He sucks, and the game he is in sucks slightly worse.
