You don't know, ever. You could walk in on them both in bed bare as the day they were born and you don't know if it might have just been a colossal misunderstanding. Then you'd just feel stupid, now wouldn't you?
Wait for her to go on facebook or msn (be sitting away from her, with a slight view of the computer/laptop she is on) then when you see her talking to someone and they look over at you (she would subconsiously do this to confirm you can't see) but don't be an idiot and stare at her, just look at the tv or cat or something and watch her in the corner of your eye
then when she either looks towards you without talking or her face starts turning a little red (this would be from her feeling nervous, she would heat up slightly) then you strike!
(no, not hit her) you move in to talk to her, looking directly at the screen while making small talk (ask her anything, make up a day you want her to come out with you or something, think on your feet etc) if she minimises a window quickly when you get there, keep staying untill that person says something... if she opens it, you are clear.. if she does not, leave then turn back almost straight away (just incase you risk looking like an idiot) ,if she minimises it a 2nd time, then jokingly accuse her of being suspicious, if she has nothing to hide she will show you, then you say you were joking, and you trust her(while laughing, to make it more believeable) if she tries avoiding it, closes it or "accidentaly" closes it...
you then break up with the ***** and let her show her tits on cam and meet up with some 25 yr old with a fkn 6-pac
but back on the topic of your question,the alternative is to be a prick to her and she will never cheat, women for some reason like pricks, I found I could get women so much easier when I acted like a big headed prick

I've been in a situation where I was with a girl, and we went out for a walk and fell in a lake (in my defence, she tripped over the side and pulled me in to try and stop herself from falling). We took seperate showers and she then handed me a towel though a mostly closed bathroom door, and she dried off in there and I dried off in her bedroom, before borrowing clothes from her brother and spending the rest of the day wrapped up in blankets watching movies. One of my friends had this problem.
Basically he went on holiday and kept in touch with his girlfriend all the time, however on one day he couldn't phone her and she wasn't reading his emails/facebook messages.
Turns out she shagged some guy at a random club she went to, even though she wasn't old enough to go clubbing at the time. She and he were 16/17 age limit in the UK is 18 for clubbing.
Later she phones him up crying and saying what she did but she didn't regret it because the guy was better at "it" and she basically friend-zoned him.
Drove him pretty close to suicide, man she was an evil *****.
