I enjoy it. I compare it to movies I use to own on VHS getting released on DVD/Blue-Ray - it lets me keep playing them.
It's a shame that video games seem to want to bury their old games, especially since it's hard to find a working NES, etc for cheap, in addition to keeping older games in working order, and then, if you keep a PC up to date, other PC games are hard to keep working as well. Dungeon Keeper involves a fan made version plus information off my game disc to make play.
Old games are still fun, I still have a lot of my PS1 games, and was sad that my PS3 couldn't play PS2 games. Especially since, if nothing else, there were a lot of original ideas in those eras.
I've yet to see an Oddworld this gen, a Final Fantasy tactics (console not portable), and that is just two of my favorites. Hell, they haven't even made an Armored Core yet that is as enjoyable as the PS1/ PS2 versions.
