I don't have a medieval view of women. There is no reason to think that female gamers are less capable than male gamers. I have nothing on my gf when we play almost any fighting game. I just mash buttons like a neanderthal. She knows exactly what she's doing every time she pushes a button. The only fighting games that I'm slightly better at are Soul Calibur 3 and 5.

I take it the same, my girlfriend plays Halo and beats me in free for all games all the time.
I come from a house where the girls and boys of the family all play video games

Captcha: sorry dave

Now that is weird Captcha, how you know my name?

Doesn't much matter to me the gender, but if somoene straight up honestly beats me when I'm "bringing my A game" and actually competing, good on them, I may not be the "BEST EVAR" but when I'm givin it a hard competitive effort in a game I know well, I'm not an easy opponent, especially in RTS games, sometimes in shooters(depends on the shooter).

So I guess I'm Congradulatory? Regardless of gender, unless someone is a total asshole, I will congradulate them on their victory, and consider it a "Good Game", I think it's what's called being a good sport.

If I beat someone else, I don't gloat, unless it's on a bet, and it's me vs like 3 of my friends, and I still trounce them all, then I've earned the right to a little dance, and a good laugh.

I take it fine, because I live in the year 2012 and this kind of sexist crap has no place in life anymore.

It doesn't really mean anything to me. I got outplayed, regardless of gender, I am then motivated to become a better player.

Well obviously I hunt that ***** down, slap her silly until she recognises my masculine superiority and demand a sandwich!

But more to the point, it's the same if I get beat by a man. I.E- You lost! Deal with it!

I act like i would if a dude kicked my ass so hard an imprint of it can be found on the moon.

I calmly put the controller down. Stand up. grab the nearby dinner table. Flip it. then sit back down while i scream and blame my inadequate skills on lag.

I beat the crap out of pretty much all my guy friends at video games, especially fighting games. They don't care much, and treat it like I'm guessing they would if a guy won (i.e. "I'll get you next time", "You cheating bastard", "I'll eat your babies"). If someone beats me, no matter what their gender is, I just get motivated to get better. No biggie.

I treat female gamers the same way as any other gamer. If they're polite I'm polite, if their pricks I'll be sure to slice em in half. I don't mind losing especially if its a good game, but I hate people who gloat especially if they win because someone dcs or whatever.

Offer to buy them steam games in exchange for adding me on their friend list.

After that, slowly start upping the creep factor by asking her extremely personal questions. If the relationship seems to be getting tense, offer more steam games.

Repeat the cycle of upping creep factor and buying steam games to amend for my hideous social ineptitude, until at last I ask to meet them in person or over a webcam or some such.

Get crushed when they reject me. Offer more steam games while simultaneously upping the creep factor and sobbing in panic. Get blocked.

Make several alternate accounts and re-friend her as different aliases. Continue cycle.

Eventually end up in court with cyber-restraining order.
For real? You wouldnt just rather do something different that might lead to more success with the opposite sex?

I wouldn't care really. Hell, I've probably been beaten by a few girls and not known it (in TF2 and the like). I would get pissed off if I were to get beaten multiple times by the same person, though that would occur regardless of their gender. Seriously, I can think of nothing more infuriating in online gaming than hearing that bloody trumpet playing to let you know you're being dominated in TF2.

Brilliant thing about video games is, it doesn't matter who we are on the outside, Inside the game we're all truly equal.
Man, woman, we're all players. I don't think of it as being beaten by a girl, I think of it as being beaten by a player.

We do handle defeat differently based on sex and situation, much to our own detriment.

I'd call her a dick. I like to insult people with insults usually used for the opposite gender. I also tend to call guys "slut" alot.

In a playful way of course.

Unless you're beating me in LoL in which case you get:

OH MY GOD FUCKING OP PILE OF SHIT I HOPE YOU FALL INTO A SKIP FULL OF AIDS!

I don't remember ever naming my weapons to those two names But i do rename alot of my TF2 items And i mostly play On australian servers and VSH (Vs saxton hale to unknown TF2 players)
Then it's unlikely, since I stick to servers I have good ping in, and I'm in europe. I've never tried VSH, either. Ah well, carry on and kill people! :D

I'd find out where she lived, beat down her door, hold a gun to her head and demand that she make me a SAMMICH! /sarcasm

In all seriousness I really couldn't care less whether or not you were a girl/guy/it/whatever. Most of the people that you play that get their undies in a knot are probably little kids like 12 yrs old or younger or guys who lack any sort of social skills and have never even talked to a girl in person, which are very common when playing games like Team Fortress 2 unfortunately.

Same way I feel when I get beat by a guy

XD

But seriously, I don't really care. It's just a game after all, and who cares about the gender of your opponent
