I get beat fairly often in fighters by children and girls due to button mashing/one move spamming. I react the same way.

"Well done, you bullshitted your way to victory."
There's nothing wrong with button spamming. It shouldn't work well as a strategy if the game is well thought out.

I dont give a shit.

As in, exactly the same as if I was beated by a male. Or an alien. Whatever, I will try my best to beat them next time.

I...

would actually find that kinda hot.

That's not weird is it?
'Tis not. My loins are also set alight when a girl beats me in a game. To quote Spike Speigel:

"I love a woman who can kick my ass."

My reaction would be identical regardless of gender - curling up into a ball and weeping not being bothered by it at all like the manly, manly man I am.

omg gurls can't play games you all are dumb leave video games to us guys and go do girul things and if i eever seen a giurle play a game i would leave cuz grls are too dumb to beaet me

Is what I would say if I was a sexist douchebag. Since I'm not, though, it doesn't bother me.

Plus, since I don't use a microphone while playing, I don't have any way to know somebody's gender. Bonus who-gives-a-crap points for me! :D

I don´t actually mind, the only thing that really changes is the pronoun (he/she) and the insults no one hears. I always try to address people by gender, or be non specific. I do get mad if there are "gurrl gamerz <3", because war is a serious issue. You get your silly attention seeking face out of my battle!

I just shrug it off. The best fps player I know is a 14 year old girl and she basically carries my ass in Left 4 Dead. I'd seriously hate to be on opposite teams with her, she's scary good. If I can take being a health pack sponge(on hard, anyway. That's the only time she'll play) from a female child, then being beaten by a girl or woman is nothing.

well, I'd be glad to see another girl playing and being even better than me. GirlPower and stuff like that....
besides that, what does gender matter? The gaming industry decided at some point to focus more on male gamers and inbred itself more and more into that (miss pacmans story is a good example), that only makes female gamers more rare, but the numbers are rising and you certainly dont need a specific set of genitals for most games.

I'm 22, I have male and female friends, and the few gamers in that group are male. But when I play against girls online, whether I beat them or they beat me, gender doesn't come into it. I may look at someone's profile on Steam or XBL if they're particularly good or seem cool when I'm talking to them in voice chat, and if they're female my response is at most "huh, a girl gamer. Cool." And then I move on and play another game. That's it. Why gender should have to come into everything is beyond me, but then again I'm not one of those sadcases who believes that every single girl online is secretly a fat perverted guy. Even if I was, I've met girl gamers, and there are girls involved in Escapism UK each year who I've met, and they're clearly not fat geek guys unless they're very VERY good at disguises...

This seems like a silly question to ask. I don't generally ask people, "how do you feel when you get beaten by a guy at video games?" I can't imagine making a thread asking that very question would go well. That said, I don't think it really registers with me. If they won then they won. Whatever. I'm not particularly competitive anyway.

In the multiplayer games I play there aren't many girls who do the same, although there is a small minority.

I'm not too bothered, it just feels like getting beaten by anyone else. Losing is never fun regardless.

Still, I applaud the girls/women I have met who play hardcore multiplayer games and such and thoroughly enjoy them.

It makes no difference to me. I get beaten by everyone when I play online games anyway, so I can't spare any time to be anything but resigned when I get beaten by girls specifically :p

I guess I'm just more of a single-player kind of guy. Whenever I try multiplayer stuff I just suck so much :3

Don't see why I would care, unless it was a little girl in which case her parents have some questions to answer. :p

Besides outside off all-talk servers that I rarely visit you can't really tell what sex your opponents are. Ok same can be said for your team mates as well since most pubbers don't use mics, but that's besides the point.

*shrug* Some players are just better than me.

Why does it matter if the person is a Guy, Girl, in between, undecided, neither, alien, etc? If they've beaten me then they've beaten me.

On a somewhat related note I don't get the lack of grace people show when they play online.

If someone beat you then they beat you, don't be all "You only won because you used X weapon/Y tactic/you didn't win, I was AFK, etc."

Laugh because there's still challenge left in the game.
