I've kept all the games I've ever had, including old B:\ games and ones that used to take like 6 A:\ discs like X-wing. For nostalgia mostly I suppose.

It depends. Some (those without replay value), I'll trade in once I beat them. Games that are continuously enjoyable, or games that I enjoyed so much that just seeing the box fills me with rapture, I'll hang on to.

I still have some mega drive games, but i still don't get rid of many games, if they really suck then i'll get rid of them, but only if they really suck.

I tend to keep my games (unless I really really didn't like them)
I had to rebuy my NES collection because my brother sold all the games for it. I think he did the same with the N64 as well. I just added some new games to my Sega Saturn collection :p

I keep all the games i buy now-a-days so I have a large collection. mostly due to my need to buy games in bargain bins resulting in owning about 15 ps2 games I've never even played because they need to age. Summoner and Evergrace are almost ready to be used.

Top flight games that I love I will keep forever because I like having a tasteful collection so that others can see what I like and that I'm a pro. Selfish, but not uncommon.

Depends on the game, if they meh they get sold, otherwise they just go into my collection.

I still have the first PC game I ever played, Civilization. It set the standard for the rest of my collection. So, basically, forever so far.

There's something special about going through the old cardboard boxes, leafing through manuals and reminiscing about simpler times.

My hubbie trades in games that are exclusively his but I hold on to mine. One exception will probably be Mirror's Edge. I don't see me playing that game again once I finish it. The gameplay is more frustrating than the Alma fight in Ninja Gaiden.

Forever, unless I don't want to buy the game but only want to play it. Then I just rent it

If it a game I truely enjoyed i'll keep it, but if its an ok game I sell it off usually towards a new game.

I keep games forever if I can. Eventually I go through the ones that I don't play anymore and were mediocre, or ones I can't stand to look at because of how impossible they were, then sell the whole lot for a new game or two. At least that is what I used to do before games costed $60 a piece. I'm basically limited to CoD:WaW and Orange Box until I can budget in a new one.

I rent most games so as I beat them I turn them in.

Games I do buy, I keep forever as they usually last forever. (Fallout 3, Rock Band, Left 4 Dead)
Exactly the same for me...
