How long do you usually go out before sex?

This depends on waaaay too many factors: like who the person is, how long you've known them before you start anything official, whether or not you (or they) are a virgin, how desperate you are (and I don't mean that negatively..I mean...'keen'...), what their opinions are, how old one or both of you is/are...

My answer would be the supremely unhelpful 'long enough'. ;-P

So, my fellow Escapists, how long do you usually go out with someone before you sleep together? Assuming you don't just exclusively go out to bars for one night stands.

In my case this usually - at least in the past ten years I've been with both my wife and my partner - boiled down to my wife, my partner and I being with another woman. (Or my wife and I with a woman. Or my partner and I with a woman...)

Anyway, it usually occurred with long-time friends where the relationship just went into a physical state. It seldom happened with people we recently met. So I suppose even for somebody with my "lifestyle" the answer is "quite a long time, long enough to become friends" - but that's just us.

If I had a normal dating life, who knows.

Really depends on the girl, some get drunk and hump you without a single date, others will drag you along and never sleep with you no matter how considerate you are (advice: avoid virgin girls), and with some you just need to get comfortable with (3 dates or 1 good one can be enough).

It usually becomes a problem once the waiting has been dragged out into months, if you two really don't feel comfortable enough with each other in that period of time then there are clearly major trust issues, you need to reconsider if the relationship is really working and if it ever will.

Unfortunately though, my gf is so ticklish with her feet that she's been extremely reluctant to let me give her a foot massage. She claims that someone tried to give her a foot massage once and she ended up kicking them. I told her I was willing to risk a kick or two, but she seems unconvinced. XD

It really does depend on the situation.

My last boyfriend and I had sex one night before we were dating, and then once we were dating didn't have it until three months down the track.

It just depends on how much tension there is, what the other person wants from the relationship and what you want from it.
