I play it unless I hate it.
And even if I do hate it, I still keep it installed in case I want to play it later. Except for DA:O, It was just taking up disk space and there was no way in hell I'd care to finish the game.

I typically beat most games I sit down to play. Notable exceptions are RE5 and Halflife 2.

ME... oh man...

I have played that game perhaps too much... as there's been a lot of ME2 threads around, I've disclosed this several times.. but I have played through the game doing all of the side missions, approximately 6 times... I'm working on the 6th that I can recall... I also beat it without doing the missions on Insanity mode for the achievement (screw doing all that work on Insanity, that's insane).

I actually really love the exploration in Mass Effect.. the story is only one of the things that is pretty good.. what's better is the setting.. the characters, the aliens, the locations.. I love them all.

I usually finish a game I like, mostly for story or just captivating gameplay. Then I replay them for fun, or make a new file on them for nostalgia.

If a game starts to feel like it's more work than fun or that it's trying to drill expertise out of me (something MANY games accomplish) I'll give it up. I did this for Torchlight (Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click.) and for Company of Heroes (YES! My infantry have worked together to overcome that tank that was coming after- Oh, there's 3 more. Ragequit time.)

I might be stingy, but it really doesn't make sense to play something you're not having fun with.

I try to finish everything I play unless it really pisses me off. I especially try to finish all the RPGs I play, was 10 minutes from finishing Fallout 3 and the next day some jackass broke into my house and stole the PS3...Haven't been able to bring myself to start again hahah.

Most of the games I enjoy are true sandboxes. Kind of hard to finish them.

It depends on the game. I never beat oblivion for instance, I just did heaps of side quests and free-roamed whenever I felt like it. I think as long as I enjoy the game then it doesn't matter.

So I finish games that just happen to end in the course of my enjoying them.

I always beat the games I like, though it sometimes takes me longer then it normally would. I haven't touched Dragon Age in days now and I think I'm about 65% of the way through it.

If I'm enjoying it, well I plan to finish it. Some games however start off easy and then you smack into a brick wall made of hard levels and difficult enemies. So, it really depends on several things. I like a challenge, but some games pull some really cheap tricks. Others have wickedly unfair difficulty curves.

I'm generally not very good at finishing games, but if I enjoy a game enough I am more likely to see it through to the end.

My PC's graphics card broke and I only got it back recently so there's a lot of games, which I didn't get to complete such as Oblivion, Fallout 3, Neverwinter nights, resident evil 4 and a couple of others
