As much as I liked Plants vs Zombies I never finished it simply because it got kinda repetitive at the end. Kinda easy too. I got to the part where you fight them on the roof. Haven't really gotten back to the game since.

I did finish Mass Effect, Fallout 3, and Bioshock. But for ME and Fallout 3 my focus was primarily on the main quest and I didn't really take the time to thoroughly explore the side quests and other nooks and crannies in the two games. I guess the side quests in ME I went on was a bit generic so I gave up on it. Don't know if I'm missing out too much on either game.

It's just the way I am I guess because I don't like investing too many hours into one game. So do you finish the games you like, or just move on to something else?
I finish all my games, and the ones that I really like, I get the platinum trophies for. I've platinummed Assassin's Creed II, Borderlands, inFamous, prince of persia, and i plan on finishing fallout III 100% (on third playthrough now). I plan on finishing every single of the 52 games I'm currently playing (at the same time), it'll just take a while and I only finish the ones I like 100% (still finish the story in every game though).

If I love the game, I'll try to do everything and take my time completing it, then it goes on my top shelf.

I will always do my best to beat a game that I like
there are few exceptions
Turok was one of those
could never finish it for some reason

Funny this thread pop up like this I just (literally just) finished Bioshock.
Same satisfied feeling I got from finishing Portal
If you're referring to the new Turok, it might have been because it was an absolutely horrible piece of shit excuse addition to what was once known as a great franchise?

Ah then I retract my previous statement and replace it with "lack of time perhaps?"

I try to finish all of them, but I only finish about 80% of the games i play. Once i hit the final boss, i dont realy give a crap about the game anymore.

But by ghad when i was 7, and i got rayman 2, it took me 3 years to finish that son'of'a'*****. Got up to the second last level and i just kept screwing up.

Same with Sonic Adventure 2, or whatever, on DreamCast. I just could not kill that danged second last boss. Only finished that game a few years ago too.

Why the fuck does everyone say its so horrible? It's a good looking, functional shooter with dinosaurs.
OT: Sometimes, I've finished all my Ps3 games but Prototype, I even finished Bioshock, which I thought was fucking shit before it.
Sorry, I played the demo for the new one for about half an hour. I didn't bother finishing it. It was generic, boring, and had way too much "Gears of War Syndrome". The coolest thing about it was the melee cutscenes when using the knife. Even they got old pretty fast.
The Fireseeds (if they were real people) would roll over in their graves over the new "Turok".

There are some I never did, but they still haunt me and I need to go back and finish them. Of course with Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, and Final Fantasy XIII on the horizon, it'll be a while...

For the most part, the very few fav games that are my all time favorite are finished, yes. As for the not-quite-so-fav games but I love playing them, nah, I just get bored after awhile.

I used to not finish a lot of games I had, and I was getting worried
then as I grew older I realized that I could do more research before getting games to figure out what exactly clicked with me and oh aldfjdklsf
yeah nowadays I tend to finish them a lot more (FPS games are easier, other genres like hack and slash aren't hard, Asassin's Creed II 100% on Achievements was an embarrassing achievement...haha)

my next goal? to actually finish an RPG
I have yet to get a RPG game onto my current gen platform so we'll so how that turns out this next go round

It used to be that once I decided I liked a game, I'd stop playing if I hit a road bump, or anything better came up, unless there was an aspect of the story I really needed to see concluded. Nowadays I've set myself the limit of not buying anything new until I finish all my current games, unless they are shockingly terrible.

I almost always finish a game once I start it (with the exception of vice city, due to the fact that it was getting expensive to replace controllers).

However if I really like a game, (for instance Fallout 3, The elder scrolls games, Final Fantasies 7 through 12 San Andreas, Half-Life 2). I'll get to the last level or so and stop playing for sometimes up to a month. Due to the fact that I don't want the story to end. Finishing a game is a very final thing because I rarely play a game twice.

Sometimes I'll get a new game and completely forget that the game I was first playing even existed thus until I get bored again, they remain unfinished.
Examples of unfinished games due to "shiny new game" distraction: Brutal Legend, Darksiders,Burnout 3, Wet, Torchlight, Titan Quest.

Typically, i buy one or two games at a time, and depending on how much i like them, i probably get distracted by one more then another. Also, when you have something like MW2, which has a decent multiplayer that keeps you coming back, that proves to be a big distraction as well.
