How many of you all actually finish the games you enjoy?

I don't have the money to keep buying games whenever I run out, so I make every game last as long as possible, which means at least playing all through the story mode, and often several replays, unless I truly hated it the first time.

But yeah, I finish every game I own.

i assume this applies mostly to rpgs, i have a couple i have yet to finish (magna carta 2 being one) but i always finish fps etc. i don't really see the point in not completing them, as you can always play back the levels you find fun.

I finish every game that I played except Doom 3 and Secret of mana 2.

Note* Doom 3 sucked. I never finished Secret of mana 2 because I erased my file by accident.

I find myself holding off on wanting to finish games I enjoy.. Due to the fact that I don't want to ruin the game for myself after purchasing it.

If I really enjoy the game.. I try to make it last by doing all the sidework that's involved in the game... Seeing as how these days games are shorter because they expect you to go through all the side-quests and what not before you actually beat the game... I wish they'd realize that not very many people do that, and what happens is, they'll say they'll do the sidework after they beat the game, but that never happens...

The only exception to this was Portal, due to the fact that the game was so short, and there wasn't much to do otherwise besides perfecting some form of playing through the game without ever touching the floor once besides the beginning when you don't have full access to the portal gun.

Edit: I do finish the games though... I just feel more satisfied with the game if I don't beat it within the first couple weeks of a purchase...

I finish most games, with a couple of exceptions.

Far Cry 2 - I liked the game, but the missions just because repetative, and the constantly respawning guards got to me, at the beginning I would stealth up and have a gander at the outpost, then I would try to find the best way take out the guards, about 5 hours in I would just roar my jeep straight through the outposts and never look back.

Modern Warfare 2 (multiplayer) - When I bought the game, I intended to spend a lot of time in the multiplayer, play all the modes heaps, unlock everything, get a 3:1(+) KDR.. about three days in I got bored and went straight back to my beloved Counter Strike. I loved the single player though, Special Ops made up for the campaigns length and was great.

Final Fantasy X - A wierd one, I got to the airship point, then went and did all the extras, obtained all the best weapons, maxed out all the characters, beat the Dark Aeons, etc.. but I never went back and actually beat the game. haha.

I get annoyed when people won't bloody finish the games, even when they think they're brilliant. I finish all but the most terrible of games, such as Dark Sector (seriously, I just can't play that turgid sack of angst).

It is a very rare occurrence that I don't finish a game love or hate it. I just want to beat everything I start playing. If I really love it I probably do it faster but I always finish a game. Also I enjoy get 100% on all games it makes me feel important...

I'll try to finish everything. If I don't finish it, it's because I'm hopelessly stuck. To this day, I still haven't beaten Ocarina of Time because of that damn Water Temple.
