Ahh... This was the kind of thing I was going for, once upon a time. Except, I want to stay with my friends. That screwed me up. I need to find something stable for me to do, so I can stick around.Ultrajoe said:He already bought the gene-spice from me. I know what i want to be, i want to be the guy who fishes himself silly, climbs a few mountains and sees every continent. I want to be the guy who wakes up at least once with no idea who he is, gets lost in a new city. I want to be the guy who finishes i want to be the guy. I want to be the guy who can wake up every morning and have a big glass of juice.
As to what i want to 'do'? Well, that's not who i am. Doing is a good thing to do while you're not being.
Work to live, my Escapists, not the other way around. If your vision of yourself in 10 years is a job description, then you are in for a rude shock, and I say that as gently as possible. We all need to find our own way, but knowing that you have your hands on not just the wheel but also the accelerator is a damn good start.
Thats not going to be easy, unless you build mod for a existing game.If you are serious I would like to know more XDRagnorakTres said:Computer game designer. Me and my friend already have a plan and a concept and are almost ready to start coding...
Let me put it this way. We have the concept, some artists, and we can both have lots of friends who can program, as well as ourselves. Our plan right now is to release at least 2 versions of every game: a Flash based browser game and a final version. The game we're "working on" right now is a combination of RTS and FPS set in a zombocalypse future. It'll be the first in a series covering our transition from relatively free society to dystopian future to zombocalypse. The first will be multiplayer mostly, with one (or two, if the map is large enough) people playing as the zombie hordes and trying to wipe out the other players, who have to move from place to place while avoiding zombified death. Yes, it sounds a lot like L4D, but it's not. There are major differences I can't go into at this stage of development, and that sounded really arrogant and I apologize but it's true. My friend has hired large people with muscles where their brains should be to maintain a certain level of security about this project in my presence. I'm mostly only dealing with the storyline and certain aspects of the programming that I'm really good at. (On a side note: If you see another game like this, please PM me so I can look into it.) That's really all we have at this point. I'll try to keep the Escapist community as up to date as I can on this, but don't expect anything to change for several years.rory@eishgaming.co.za said:Thats not going to be easy, unless you build mod for a existing game.If you are serious I would like to know more XDRagnorakTres said:Computer game designer.
