I expected most people to mention a number above ten at the least. Because frankly said, virtually everyone I know is most certainly above ten sexual partners. I find it quite hard to believe that everyone here supports the idea of having very few partners and sticking to those.

Not that I am much different in that perspective. But I am not going to say I am trying to keep the number as low as possible. Most probably my next visit to Asia or South America is going to double my number... again.

I think the reason the number of a lot of us is so low is because we can't get any. That's certainly the case for me - I'm actually growing profoundly terrified of women because I keep creeping them out unintentionally simply by being myself.

Alcohol, in sufficiently large quantities, actually makes me even more shy and pedantic, and in fact increases my standards. It also depresses me hugely - all I have to do is look at myself in a mirror and notice how bleached my face looks and that's enough to convince me that I'm making a mistake. It cripples my self-esteem even more than usual, and makes me hugely self-conscious. I've never drunk enough to bring me past that level - I'd probably fall unconscious first.

Well then, I'd say you are in a pickle. I suggest boosting your self-esteem by working out or doing something similar that you feel benefits your appearance.

But a less drastic approach. Become healthy! Don't smoke, eat healthy and varied, go exercize and try new things. I don't necessarily pick up women at my dance school. But knowing how to dance the Tango will never decrease your odds of getting some!
