I would probably counter-offer by agreeing to kill my neighbor's little rat-dog for no less than 14 million using the mallet or perhaps 5 million if he offers a quicker method of death. So long as the old man is able to appreciate someone's pain and suffering, who says it has to be mine?
MNYES.

I would wail on my neighbor's little ************ for five million with the mallet.

Mine? Billion.

All you people with the authorities.... HE'S RICH. Theres no way he'd go to jail. He'd just buy off the police.

"Everyone's got a price, everyone's going to pay, cause the million dollar man ALWAYS gets his way."
P'shaw- this is a hypothetical internet question, I can bend it however I want.

For example- who's to say I don't already have the police in on this, waiting for their 'cut' after we freeze the guy's assets? Or that we all aren't already paid off by one of the rich enemies a miserable old billionaire must have? For all you know, my fiance's on a roof with that compound bow he's wanted to replace for years playing Hawkeye, and now I have to hide some corpses. Isn't screwing with the parameters of the question part of the game?
*highfive*

But now I'm saying the aging old man is Bruce Wayne whos lost his moral compass and is backed by the justice lords. Think your police can take on the evil JLA bitches? Now Superman hurls your dog into the sun and you get no money. :D

Why would I be walking my cat?

This is a terrible question, and has placed me in a moral dilemma. On the one hand, my cat's amazing. On the other, he's 15 and a half, and therefore probably has an absolute maximum of about 2 years left.

I'd probably do it, but I need to ask, is there a maximum to the amount of money I can ask for? Because if not, I'd obviously go with the most inconceivably high number I could think of.

Ahahaha, I don't think beating my dog to death is worth the injuries i'd get from it. She's only 4 months and two weeks old and she could still cause some major damage. If i'd been caring for her for years i'm pretty sure she might actually be able to kill me, she's gonna be a big one.

You can't put a price tag on love, man. You just can't. Unless...hmm...would I be allowed to pick which pet to mame? 'Cuz I would gladly get rid of our dog. That thing's nothing but trouble. I'd still charge an insane amount of course.

Nope. I'd never hurt my cats. They're pretty much the only reason I feel like getting up in the morning. D:

I mean he has whats in the brief case, which is probably a million cash. Anything more than that he'd probably write you a check.

Summed up my position quite nicely.

If the old codgers gonna offer you money and a mallet... his funeral.
He's got an ex-green beret protecting him though. He can kill people with a napkin.

Serious answer: No repeat infinitum

Not so serious answer: I'm afraid my dog would win that fight.

I like my dog more than I like about... 95% to a 99% of the people I know, so yeah... I'm pretty sure I'd pass.

Can't I just beat him with the mallet and walk away with his money?

Otherwise, nope, I like my pets.

i would tell him his terms were unacceptable and begin negotiations. i won't kill or hurt another creature, but if he wants me to experience pain/misery, we could probably work something out.

Considering that I could probably kill any number of pets with a single crushing hit with a small sized wooden mallet, and I've lived my entire life crippled by a lack of resources, and the constant stress/fear that comes with being hounded by collectors over a seemingly small but still unpayable sum of money, and never knowing if I'll still have a job, or be able to pay my rent, and having had to starve for days at a time due to being unable to afford food. Yeah I'd do it, I'd ask for a couple million because I'd want my life to truly change.

Nope. You can't replace an animal.
Actually you can, quite easily, with a big pile of cash... given this oppertunity, sure the animal is dead, but you won't hafta worry about money for a long while.

I know I may sound like a monster for saying this, but the only real result of life is death, this goes for all of us and our pets, we ALL die, pain is temporary, so is life. If the life of an animal with a drastically lower overall worth to the world than you, is to be sacrificed so that you may act out any kind of life in which you show any level of realised potential, it was worth it.

I know we have strong emotional attatchements to our pets, but even those are temporary, emotions are temporary changes in the operation of your brain, far far more temporary than your life, short and meaningless as it may be, therefor, the ability to remove a great deal of difficulty, discomfort, sorrow, and stress from the rest of your life, is undoubtedly calculably more valuable than avoiding a short burst of intense negative feeling.

I currently don't like my dog so it'd be a cat, and

i'd kill my pet cat for 50,000 grand any-day, its more than likely gonna be dead due to car in a month any way.
