They're just noodles. There's no great art to rehydrating and heating up noodles.

practically any addition of heat and water, in no particular order will suffice really.

Also why do people feel the need to call them Ramen? Isn't that just the name the Japanese have for them? I mean fair enough it's their product. But we have an English word for it. Noodles.
INSTANT. Noodles. There's a difference. JK.

But I have to agree, just eat that shit according to instructions. But we know what to do when we get shit. We paint it gold.

That stuff always makes me feel like I've been kicked in the head. I'll spend the three bucks and get some spaghetti and sauce-in-a-jar and have that if I want noodles.

crush the noodles, add them to a pot of cold water, then cook the noodle/water combo till the water boils over, strain the noodles, drop 'em in a bowl, add the seasoning and stir, then yum! if i have any laying around, i'll add 2-3 packets of sweet and sour sauce.

when i was younger, i did all of that but would sometimes mix in a tiny amount of orange juice/sunny D. i have no idea where i came up with that, but it was good. though it only worked with the beef flavored ramen (which is the only kind i eat nowadays)

I wanted to try a taco flavored Ramen but couldn't find any at my local supermarket (If they even make it) So I tried using Taco Bell's Taco Seasoning. I'm sad to say it didn't work, at all :(

My new favorite is adding Weber's Kickin' Chicken seasoning to Chicken Flavored Ramen. SOO GOOD!

I usually splurge and buy the 30 cent cup ramen, so I boil the water and then pour it in. And then wait the most agonizing three minutes ever.
Basically, this is usually how I do it. Way back in the day when I was in elementary school (currently in my second year of college, just for a little perspective), pretty much everyone would eat the bricks crushed up and un-boiled.

I pretty much only eat the chicken flavor, first off, and I cook it in the mircowave.
I put the noodles in the bowl (whole), add the seasoning packet, a very light dusting of ground thyme and sometimes chili powder, add the water and heat for 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Stir and let cool, then eat with chop sticks. It be awesome.

And, yes, I drink the broth left over.

*gulps deeply*....whats ramen?(dont hurt me)
No worries, I haven't heard of 2/3rds of the games mentioned on this site.

It's just a type of Japanese noodle that is sold in insanely cheap packages, so poor students/interns/ect. can still eat and make their rent. It comes with a flavor packet that is beef, chicken, shrimp, pork or some mystery meat, but in reality is just 95% salt and MSG. But hell, at 20¢ a package, I ain't complaining. I generally don't add anything but hot sauce, usually Tapatio.

Not so much on how I make it, but when I was in the Air Force, the water heater in our squadron dorms was powerful enough, that we could make the ramen cup by running the hot water tap in the bathroom sink into them and letting it sit for about minute, without ever needing to microwave it.

You had to be very careful taking a shower there.
alright cool, ill have to try some one day. And 20 cents a package, damn that's cheap

I fill the pot with water, throw the ramen in, then start the heat. By the time the water's boiling, the noodles are done.

I sometimes throw in some garlic powder or a dash of chili oil and green onion. Also, it's a great way of reheating most leftover meats...except ham. I haven't had a ramen dish that made ham more palatable.

Depends on how much time I have or how lazy I am. If I either need a quick snack or don't feel like working, I'll empty the noodles into a bowl of water and throw them into the microwave. If I have a decent amount of time and feel like making a tasty dish, I'll make my noodles in a pot, empty into a bowl, and add a ton of ingredients and spices to make a hearty soup.

I usually add a slice of melty cheese and little bits of lunchmeat.

Also, I like the noodles to be slightly crunchy still. :D

I put two packs in the pan with some water, cook it till it boils for about 2 min, drain all of the water out, dump it in a bowl, add the seasoning and a bit of soy sauce, then eat.

Chicken

The only time I had Ramen was when I went to Wajamama in Birmingham.
And it was delicious!

1) Fill pot with water and noodles.
2) Set stove to "high"
3) Come back in ~2 minutes.
4) Drain water
5) Add "flavoring"

I boil water, add seasoning etc. Then, I usually make another packet and sandwich some ham between the two thickets of noodly goodness topped off by two eggs. Oh, and I drain the water, which amazes my friend until their brain goes numb.
