There was evidence that the Holocaust existed, but at the same time lack thereof enough to tell that it was actually a Holocaust.
In which case, please... offer up an explanation for the millions of burnt and poisoned corpses found around certain sites... and the MOVIES of people being murdered in them.

MILLIONS. OF. CORPSES.

That's a LOT of empirical data.

What's more suspicious is that a lot of European state forbids research into Holocaust history and jailed people because it was 'offensive' or something.
Could it be because all of these studies are proposed and supported by either openly anti-semetic groups or 'non anti-semetic groups' that are funded solely by anti-semetic groups?

Personally, I don't give a crap. A century old genocide or none is not going to directly effect my life. Yet so much of it was pushed to me I'm fed up with it.
Shit is happening in the middle east RIGHT NOW that directly affects your life in many small, and many large ways. Because of oil, every interaction you have with the economy is driven by middle eastern politics. And the single biggest part of middle eastern politics centers around the formation of a country of Holocaust survivors supplanting the indigenous Muslim people. This DIRECTLY affects you.

This is, of course, ignoring the post-war explosion of the civil rights movements, nuclear proliferation, the entirety of European political unity, and all sorts of effects of having a recent large scale demonstration of an attempt to exterminate a religion from the entire planet.

No. They are unpleasant, not harmful. And lets go with the hyperbole and accept that they would "unlearn the lesson of WW2", so what? If people believe these things then we are going to not know that killing millions of people is wrong? We have to have a example to such things to know that murdering people is wrong?
Yes. because people DO forget this in the face of fear, economic strife, or at the barrel of a madman's gun.

I mean, it's nice to be idealistic and say that genocide is an unthinkable impossiblity... but if that were the case the holocaust wouldn't have happened. But think about it, TRULY think about it... you've heard the phrase ethnic cleansing. This is a relatively recent phrase, used to describe events that occured a LOT more recent than Nazi Germany. Not even talking about in Africa, but in fucking Europe, in countries that were taken OVER by Nazi Germany, then by Stalinist Russia!

Shit HAPPENED there and people FORGOT how EVIL it was!

Never. Forget. It's not a 'Jewish' issue. It's a humanitarian issue. Nothing less.

I'd take you to Auschwitz and put you in the shoe-room.
If you denied it there, I would take you away to a farm upstate. The one owned by FPSRussia. and dress you up like a pumpkin.

There used to be a very good way to do this kind of thing. I believe they called it "The Holy Inquisition!!!"

Show them photos of the piles of corpses discovered in Auschwitz/Dachau/Buchenwald/Bergen-Belsen.
Take them to see survivors.
Take them to see former guards.

Then I'd Srsface.
There is a problem though. Conspiracy theories work in similiar veins of thought to religion. You can't convince many people who hold outrageous claims that they are wrong. In fact, neurlogical studies have shown that the human brain actually can get further entrenched in it's own belief when shown evidence that proves otherwise. It doesn't work that way for all of us, but for many it does.

And there is always an out for conspiracy theorists. You show them pictures, they say fake, You show them survivor, they say liar. You show them confessions, they say they've been bribed. You show them scientific evidence, they say it's faked.

You can't win. They're idiots.

Hey guys, I have a really bizarre question to ask. As the title says, imagine if I was one of the crazy people who think the Holocaust was one giant conspiracy, what would you do to try and convince me otherwise.

Keep in mind that I wouldn't be swayed by witnesses or historical accounts because that's all "part of the lie", and I wouldn't be affected by an appeal to logic or reason because I'm clearly insane. You'd need near-irrefutable proof to convince me that history isn't one giant Jewish-controlled conspiracy.

Oh, and sorry if this question is offensive, I just thought it would be an interesting thinking exercise, not trying to offend anyone.
Well as a Jew and Zionist, it is mildly offensive, if someone/you 'believed' it (and yes, I'm aware there are some who are misguided enough to do so).

However, if you are using this as a tool to help persuade someone of the truth, then what you're doing is commendable, and my people would thank you for it, in principal.

The first axiom, which is commonly the main support beam for these believers, is that it?s a 'Jewish lie' or otherwise, they invented this idea (For what reason for fucks sake I ask? Anyway), so they aren't impartial.

This doesn't hold though, many of the accounts of the horrors of the holocaust come from multiple outside sources, notably those of the British, American, and Russian forces, who independently viewed these disgraceful happenings (or aftermaths thereof), wrote about them, and that is that.

However, the second axiom, is that history is written by the victors (the Jews?), so all those on the side of the Jews are all writing false accounts.

As impossibly naive as that statement sounds, say it is true, you also have the slaughters and murders and butchers in the Nazi's writing about these events, orders from the SS, Hitler, camp records, passenger manifests, there are certainly more records created of this event by the persecutors, than by the observers, surely at least as many of both.

So any foolish bastard that says this wasn't the case, need only be shovelled the information that 'everyone' involved agrees it happened, has empathy, sympathy or shame that it did, and hopes to avoid things like this ever happening again in human history.

Satisfactory?

They should be the ones trying to muster evidence to support their point of view, especially since they are the ones holding the outlandish and unfounded opinions.

It's your job to show me that the generally held consensus is wrong.

People like that are impossible to reason with and as far as I can tell there would be nothing to convince you short of time travel.

The evidence that exists already is pretty much irrefutable. If there's someone who doesn't believe said evidence then there's no point in arguing with them. Though I would definitely smack them if they were in a position to teach younger children that it was all a Jewish conspiracy.

Or people who think homeopathy works.
At least on that one you can argue.
Homeopathy is one of the most successfull applications of the placebo effect. By making someone believe they are getting better by a certain procedure, they activate corporal self healing mechanisms. Studies show that it can be a reasonable supplimental therapy... just not a replacement.

Case in point, anyone denying that the holocaust happened has his head firmly logged in his ass. Go talk to some survivors, there are a few around still (Famous Mr. Hessel beeing one of them.)
If they persist on spewing madness like this, I'ld put them before a crowd so that not only I could enjoy the entertainment of a complete fool trying to be clever.

I simple history textbook open to the pages dealing with the holocaust... than I would hit them with said book multiple times until they're unconcious, than take their wallet.

It's still charlatanism.

Promoting proven pseudo-science as a medical therapy should be considered fraud.

There is Auschwitz-Birkenau, you can go and see it. There's also the population records that show a LOT of people of Jewish (among other things) dying around the same time, and the photography of liberating soldiers demonstrating the oppressed victims.

But at that point, if you haven't already gotten the idea that logic and reason are the best ways to unravel the actual facts, you are pretty much doomed anyway

With all of the evidence saying that the holocaust happened, if they don't believe it already, they won't believe it no matter what you say.

I wish I knew. I honestly think that if they're that deep into believing that it didn't happen, then no proof will sway them.

A friend of mine was adamant in thinking that Vikings didn't exist. I showed her links to museums, books, anything that was proof. She said that Vikings were fairy tales like Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy. That was three years ago, and even now, if I ask bring it up, she'll roll her eyes and give me a tone, then say that it doesn't matter if she believes in it or not--it's not important.
