Personally? I'd take you to Holocaust Museums and the Prison Camps, and if that didn't work? I'd kick you where it hurts.

...Sorry, I just have no patience for those people...

There's no evidence really that it happened or didn't happen. (I'm referring to the gas chambers, there's lots of evidence of mass executions)
Really we should just respect each others opinions and leave it at that.

Hey guys, I have a really bizarre question to ask. As the title says, imagine if I was one of the crazy people who think the Holocaust was one giant conspiracy, what would you do to try and convince me otherwise.

Keep in mind that I wouldn't be swayed by witnesses or historical accounts because that's all "part of the lie", and I wouldn't be affected by an appeal to logic or reason because I'm clearly insane. You'd need near-irrefutable proof to convince me that history isn't one giant Jewish-controlled conspiracy.

Oh, and sorry if this question is offensive, I just thought it would be an interesting thinking exercise, not trying to offend anyone.

Uuuugh, take them on a tour of the death camps in Poland?

...and why would former Nazi's admit to having done these things if it wasn't true?
They were fabrciated and the guys were paid to lie.

The argument is unwinnable and should eb avoided as the people arguing for it aren't ibnterested in the truth but simply in asserting their claim.

When I was studying to become a paramedic, I was checking over an old woman in a car crash who was shaken up but not apparently injured. I lifted up her sleeve to take her blood pressure and she had a faded green tattoo of several roughly drawn numbers on her arm. I tried not to stare at it, but she must have noticed and she started emotionally talking about her time spent in a concentration camp.

I'd seen pictures of emaciated bodies piled on top of one another in our history books, but it'd never really felt that real before. The OP poses a good question, because people have a hard time believing anything anymore.

Maybe it's more of an issue of restoring the credibility of the media and government in general.

Its his right to believe in what ever he wants, just don't go hurting anyone or disrupting business. Because that could get you into trouble. But deny what ever you want, its not like the government doesn't do it.

A friend of mine was adamant in thinking that Vikings didn't exist. I showed her links to museums, books, anything that was proof. She said that Vikings were fairy tales like Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy. That was three years ago, and even now, if I ask bring it up, she'll roll her eyes and give me a tone, then say that it doesn't matter if she believes in it or not--it's not important.
Oh,

dear

God...

Please tell me that she now says "it's not important" because she's since found out she was wrong and doesn't want to admit her mistake, and not because she still believes that.

I don't know whether to thank you for making my day or to just give up and repeatedly headbutt the nearest wall.

Actually, I've made up my mind. That's funny as hell!

anyone who requires convincing isn't worth talking to,
there?s only 2 reasons someone wouldn?t believe in the holocaust
either they?re politically sympathetic to nazi ideology and they know they cant justify genocide so they pretend it didn?t happen
OR they?re just trying to be controversial to get attention.

in both cases the worst thing to do would be to charge in white knighting all over the place as though you and only you can protect the jews from some borderline retards denial of documented history

I wouldn't. I have better things to do. I've never seen actual proof myself either and honestly I couldn't care less if it happened or not. People do crazy stupid shit all the time, so I have no trouble believing it happened, but I wasn't there, nor was anyone I care about, so it isn't important to me in the least.
If people claim it didn't happen I'd ask THEM for proof, since they have the abnormal theory.

It's pretty much impossible if they have already made up their mind, just like all other conspiracy theories. If they are open to evidence then this site [http://www.nizkor.org/] is a good one.

I would kindly invite them over to Europe where denying the Holocaust is illegal and giggle a lot when they get sent to prison for a lot of years.

You can't, and why would you want to. What you should actually do is record his ramblings, make sure that you can link his thought process to the guys at Fox News and then BAM! People would say, "Oh my! I can't support people who are clearly insane."

An interesting side note.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_731

Most people dont know about Unit 731 as the German camps got more attention, however if you read the page you might find that this place makes Auschwitz look like a holiday camp.

The death rae was lower but the manner in which they died was much more horrific.

Even if they don't believe the evidence then they might perhaps believe almost every other human who lives that the holocaust happened + all the evidence that before the late 1930s there were many more jews than after after 1945.. hmm wonder where they all went

But in the end people are allowed to believe what they want, however as the majority of humanity believes the holocaust happened we don't have to worry about any little Hitlers cropping up any time soon..
