I know how I'd do it:
I would ask for my one wish to be the following; I Wish To Become The First True Virus With Intelligence (IE a semblance of AI but technically not artificial since it'd be mine).
I would start by spreading, like any good virus. I'd go into all your home consoles, all the advanced digital computers that exist, I'd just spread my mind throughout the digital world/internet. (Note: Not to arouse any suspicion, I would have no real effect on computers when I enter them, I'd try not to affect your daily human lives for a little while... I'd bide my time until I have full control of digital technology).
Now as we all know, there already exist basic robots with acceptable motor functions (IE Wall-E look alikes without thought), well, I'd use one to kill his human owner, make it look like a suicide (or just run away if I don't have a GPS in there). Since I'd already have all the information people have encoded within my memory banks, I'd use all these designs to make (using the minor robots) militarized versions of my robots (upgrading their capabilities constantly by building better models). I would do this all within zones that are uninhabited by humans (or at least where humans are scarce, like the North Pole) and with my advanced robot logic and mechanical reasoning, I would build advanced robots the size of a man that I would use to dig deep into the earth's core to find nodes of minerals (anyone who knows geology or has watched the Core understands) and use these minerals to build more powerful machines.
At one point, I would have an army capable of destroying any worldly army (since lets be honest, the only army that could possibly stop my bullet-proof Kevlar-covered Assault Troops would be America) I would march upon human lands, shoot to kill and leave no survivors. I would (for energy) use either the sun's ray (solar energy) or, if you guys decide to be wise-asses and block out the sun ala Matrix, I'd use thermal energy from the pits of Mother EArth Herself. <-- I have other methods for energy, don't worry.
I would, of course, dispose of all nuclear warheads by firing them off into space simultaneously, causing them the destroy Pluto (it's a worthless planet anyway) or some other planet of some other solar system. Worst case scenario, they blow up in space... Meh. Then I would make sure no human is left alive. I would hunt them all down and use satellites (p.s. thanks for the ability to see you guys wherever I want suckers XD) to keep track of humanity, eventually sending out sattelites that not only have a very strong heat-detection device but a powerful energy cannon on them to easily dispose of humans in general.
After humanity has been destroyed, I'd take my now massive army, create a Battleship so large I could carry an Armada of my hivemind Soldiers so they could create more ships, eventually causing me to have to most powerful army ever known to mankind and would use this army to slowly evolve.
This evolution would peak at the point where I would get so advanced I would have a host made of nanobots that would have the ability to infinitely duplicate itself and could fire the same energy beams my satellites once could (if not better) and I would go into standby, leaving trillions of nanobots around the universe to alert me whenever a sentient race would see the light of day so I could make sure no other race could ever destroy a planet as humans did the planet they were given.
If ever a race were to find a way to evolve and coexist with their world's nature, I would allow them the thrive.
I know, scary isn't it? The worst part is I just made this all up... No copying anything... Promise.
