Yeah, being able to dye your clothes (black people, black is the best color ever, don't make it super expensive.) is up there.
More character options, more interesting spells that have interesting effects rather than "3 sec cast time 10000 damage"
Stuff like that.
You know, I've always wondered WHY black is always the most expsensive dye in any MMO. I guess it's 'cos everyone would go for it, but still...
Also, would you say interesting effects like Polymorph (turns the target into a sheep/cat/turtle/penguin for 10-ish seconds) and Mirror Image (creates three identical copies of yourself that copy your actions)? I'd have to agree, more interesting spells WOULD be cool...

If you don't mind me asking, why? I could see an argument that some people go a bit nuts over them, but they're easily ignorable if you don't care

For bigger bosses, maneuvering and positioning is very important, surprisingly enough. It gets much less "click and pray it crits" when you get into the larger battles.
As for what I'd do, I'd make the story much more engrossing. Better animations on characters, more voice acting, and more situations that make the player feel like a true hero. Most just make the player feel like a sidenote in the epic war against the Burning Legion and the Lich King.
... or, I would make it so the second anyone says the words "wanna cyber, n00b?" their characters explode, accounts are shut down, and computers are confiscated. Goldshire would empty out in a week.
Three excellent points which I'll tackle in order
One - I'd personally like it if more fights were like the top-end stuff. My Warlock just stands there mindlessly hitting Shadowbolt outside of raids, and I just can't play a Hunter where all you have to do is Right-Click and occasionally heal your pet, but if I had to, say, dodge behind rocks or circle around to get behind a shield wall, that might be more interesting.
Two - While I DO agree, how would you say that'd be implemented? Age of Conan tried that with that stupid "You are marked for greatness" storyline, but all that ended up with was a world where 90% of the inhabitants were supposed to be amazingly powerful.
Three - Yeah, no discussion needed. Bang, dead Goldshire RPer.

Gear dyeing, more customization options, more fun and useful crafting skills (think Engineering, since it's so pathetic right now and was pretty pathetic since pre-BC)
OK, running with the "fun and useful crafting skills", are you saying that you'd rather crafting skills were more fun to do, or that the end results are more fun than "another generic AoE damage ability"?

Make combat more realistic/interesting. Rather than people lining up and taking turns smacking each other (or shooting each other from range), improve the animations that depict combat.
Stop advertising with Ozzy Osborne.
Make the increments between levels smaller. Make several hundred closer-spaced levels. Gives more feeling of accomplishment instead of being stuck at level 60-something for days or weeks.
I... Totally agree with everything you've said. I like a lot.
NEW PART OF THE QUESTION - Could WoW be done without levels at all?
