How you choose your friends on the escapist?

If I speak to them over PM or if they add me.

But almost all of my friends here come from playing games together, mostly TF2/L4D.

I don't even think about it. I generally only add people if they add me and that's it. I'm happy to be friendly with anyone but the "friends" status doesn't mean a lot to me.
