Well, I have a girlfriend and even though I don't have that much time to spend with most of my friends, I do get to hang out with -someone- once or twice a week if at least for a little bit.

I don't drink or smoke, so...that removes like 80% of the people who want to hang out with me at places I don't really wanna go to.

I'm what many would class as a "hardcore" gamer. Play multiple different game genres on multiple platforms and enjoy gaming in general as a passtime.

As for being anti-social, I don't fit into that demographic.

I'm generally very sociable, whether hanging with multiple different social circles, and even when gaming I'm usually on voice chat with someone or doing co-op where possible. I do multiple system link nights round my house as well.

I like to think the stereotype of the unsociable gamer is a very small minority.

I have a couple of best friends, a lot of normal friends and I go out clubbing and to parties and stuff a lot so I guess I'm doing ok!

My main problem is that I don't live very close to my friends, so it's difficult to just hang out whenever you feel like it, which means that I spend most weeknights at home or working haha

My social life is at a awesome right now. I'm sorry your social life sucks. I could always throw out some advice if needed.
hmmm....you're a tool
How is that being a tool?
I see a counselor that helps me with a lot of issues socially oriented. If he wanted me to try to help somehow, I was offering.

With problems such as those, the person must want help, before being offered it. But I see where you're coming from.

OT: As for myself, I work freelance from home right now, so during the week I generally only leave the house to buy groceries and cigarettes and to walk my dogs. On weekends I just meet up with a friend or two and just talk or play drums with my band.

Okay I jumped the gun a little there but it sounded like you were saying "I'm popular, need social advice, come to me" Kinda condescending there.
However I withdraw my comment because it was a dickish thing to say.

Pretty meh. I'm usually at home on the computer, I occasionally hang out with friends if I can be bothered and/or have the money. I have a fair amount of friends, despite rarely leaving the house except for school. >.>

My social life is pretty brilliant, now I consider it after reading most of these. I have heaps of friends in real life, *some* closish friends, (the only reason being I push people away too much)
so yeah, it's all good, thank you.

Its pretty good, I have a few friends, but I don't hang out with them much, mostly because they all live 15 minutes away and I have no way of getting out there. I can't complain though, I have a fairly large group of friends at school that I hang out with, we play football and stuff.

No girls though... but if you saw the group you wouldn't be surprised...

Terrible. Thanks for asking.

Actually it's gotten better in the last few years, after I left middle school (i'm a junior now). I still don't talk to people very often (especially girls) and spend more time playing RPG's and talking to my like 3 or 4 friends over Xbox live... maybe a couple in class but now atleast not as many people hate me. And I actually talk to girls now, which is certainly an improvement.
dude, youve just gotta develop a personal style in speech, and look sharp, then the females will come to you (and most likely one youll like back)
and try to adapt to whatever the girl youre with wants you to be (unless you have a really strong personality, then this isnt necessary, but is still suggested)
or at least thats how i think it works

idk, girls just come to me because im "cute" and am apparently funny (although i dont see how im either of those)
ive never actually "hit" on any girls (at least not purposefully, but ive somehow managed to snag a few noteworthy catches in my day
(ignore that last part, that was just me and my hubris)

Pretty good... I have a girlfriend and a pretty large group of friends. We get together every so often and go for a movie, dinner, beer, or just get together and play NHL 10 (which managed to convert me from hating sports games to actually kind of liking them).

What sucks is that my group of friends is linked with a group of girls that I swear don't like me. See, they were all friends for the past 14+ years, whereas I just entered the picture in the last 2. Plus, I was a social outcast for my first year of high school, so I was behind in the whole friends thing.

So when they go clubbing, I usually don't. I've only gone once. It was stupid anyways. Still, I'd like to get drunk once in a while. But there's also the problem of transportation; I don't have my license, taxis are expensive, and I hate asking my parents to cart me around everywhere.
