I don't go out, I don't have friends, rarely does anyone ever talk to me, and I can in no way keep the average conversation going (i.e. a conversation about trivial shit). I'm fucking miserable and lonely, and because of it I've become bitter and jaded.

How are you?
You sound like me. You know what you sound like you need?

My social life right now is pathetic. I have one person that can constitute as a friend, and I see her maybe once every few months. I don't have a girl friend and I dislike my family...
My social life has been crap for years...there are 8 year olds that have experienced life more than I have.

I have a girlfriend of one year that I met while ice skating (a former regular outing) with a large group of close friends. I spend it a lot of time with her cooking, restauranting, and doing many of the things that couples do.

I have a best friend, several close friends, and an enormous group of extended friends and acquaintances.

I go to concerts. I got to cultural events around down. I host dinners with my friends and my girl.

I feel like I have a pretty active social life. Between that, teaching full time, and attending grad school, I have to make time for gaming. With work life and my social life demanding so much of time, I think I substitute reading about games for playing games.

I go out, drink, go to concerts, etc. or sometimes just stay in and game with my droogs. I think I'm pretty good where I am.

Pretty much just my work colleagues, a few ex-colleagues from McDonalds, and a handful of high school friends.

From a beautiful woman of toned figure, yes. From a man, not quite. Unless it was my brother.

Okay, then you get a hug from any beautiful woman of your choice.

Meh, my social life sucks too. The only time I ever see anyone is at college and even when I'm there I really only talk frequently to 5 people. I spend my weekends and days off alone in my room just wasting time on video games and on the internet until it's time to go to sleep again... I used to be pretty social, I'd go out most weekends, talk to friends all the time... I don't know what happened.

I have quite a few friends, some closer than others but I wouldn't say I was an outcast in any sense of the word.

Well enough, I suppose. I have a fair number of friends who I keep in contact with pretty regularly, but we don't actually go out and do things together that often. Still, I'm pretty happy with it.

Haha... WHAT social life?

Granted it isn't entirely my own fault; I too was an outcast and bullied at school, not to mention the vast majority of people I HAVE had to interact with are people who I absolutely do not want to spend any longer than necessary around.

I'm always happy to meet some of the genuinely nice people in the world, though, as rare as that is to happen.

I just hang out on the internet most of the time. Although I don't think it's that sad to go out on your own most of the time; as I mentioned before, being on my own is some 95% of the time the only way I'll have a semi-pleasent/fun time.

I had friends at various points, but all the time they ended up being... different than I first throught they were (to put it nicely), so that hasn't really helped my outlook on human social mechanics a whole lot, either.

Tis good, and thank you for asking.

I decided years ago, when I first really got into gaming, that I would never miss a social event due to it.

So, my social life is good. I have several groups of good friends, loads of mates, and a g/f. I'm out of the house, 5-6 nights a week.

It's excellent, actually. Even with people going their seperate ways to Uni soon, we're all still seeing each other frequently.
From the pubs/clubs, to the 5 or 6 goodbye parties we've had. :p

So, yea... Good.
:)

he already received the ban hammer not long ago...
You took the time out to make an account for that?
Well hope it was worth it.
It's ok. He won't last long, judging by his other posts.

I have dinner with friends a couple of times a week. I successfully courted the woman I love, and in a month we're going to celebrate our tenth anniversary. My social circle is slowly expanding through mutual friends and my daughter's school. I'm an active participant in several different online forums.

I'm doing all right, thanks. Though in fairness, as I've said, I don't have as much time for gaming as I used to... But then again, it seems to be harder and harder to find something worth my time that feels more like "entertainment" and less like "meaningless work".

I deliberately left my console at my parents while I'm at Uni so I don't stay in too much. But left to my own devices I could easily see myself sinking into a world of playing Fallout all day...

It's pretty average (for a normal person), I've got a few close friends, and quite a few people I hang out with. No, this forum isn't my only outlet to people just so you know.
