On Gamefaqs, comparing anyone to Hitler (or the Nazis) is strictly against the rules, so I got moderated once for discussing the opening to Command and Conquer: Red Alert.
Apparently, by mentioning that Albert Einstein assassinated Hitler, I was in fact comparing Adolf Hitler to Hitler and suggesting that Adolf Hitler was Nazi, which was against the rules.
I can understand their desire to prevent Godwin arguments, but I don't think that should to the real Hitler and Nazis.
Also for quite a while, it was hard to discuss the Samurai Warriors/Warriors Orochi (and real life historical figure) Yoshitsune, because his name contained the word shit. You had to write Yosh*tsune, which looked ridiculous and drew more attention to the mild swear word in his name.
The language filter on Forza 4 is throwing up some clangers. Apparently F430 and Honda are naughty words. I can understand the reasoning behind blocking the tyre manufacture Kumho, but what's wrong with Honda and F430?
Language filter are hilarious though, especially when you see a censored word and can't figure out what the word is supposed to be.
I saw the word '****geneous' and it took me ages to work out it was homogeneous and the word homo had been censored. Also, on the same forum I saw the word "oeso****us" and it stumped me for quite a while. It was oesophagus and 'phag' had been censored.
