Does it have to be a video game? Because there was this movie I watched as a kid and it was about this frog and he was like a secret agent and he was fighting this cobra lady I think?

Okay here goes:
I used to play this on my dad's computer as a kid (not that I understood anything of it)
It's a 2D game (rather low resolution), and you play as this tall (or maybe skinny) guy with red/orange spiky hair or dreadlocks or something.
I remember a loading screen being an image of the shockwave logo where the bars would be coloured in as it loaded.

I think the main character has a dog, but I can't remember if it follows you around or if it just sits there. I think it's rather large and brown though.

I seem to remember something about the game taking place in a red environment (possibly on Mars or somewhere else in space).
There was a space rocket involved as well, I think. Sort of shaped like this, but white and with a round window in the middle.

It might have been a lucasarts game, but of that I am not sure in the slightest.

well..this is really hard... and odd - isn't it odd , I also remember a game very similar to yours, but there were also pigs and some kind of strange sea creatures....
I honestly can't remember ...maybe some crazy project by only one guy

...Alright I can give it a try since I have dug through my whole SNES collection and not found it.

It was an rpg and the first part of the game you spent in some caves, it was very colourful you played as a lonely male hero... And that´s about all I can remember about it ._.
Shining in the darkness? Or fatal labyrinth. Trying to remember. I loved those games.

None of those :/ it wasn't in 3-d it had the same perspective as Chrono trigger and other rpgs had at the time.
maybe "Terranigma" ?
There you have to rebuild the world while playing, you start in some kind of underworld as far as I remember ...i think your hometown was called "Crysta" and a tiny pink creature lived in your item menu ...

In my childhood there was a Zelda Esque adventure game on the ps2. It took place in Ancient Egypt. There was a mechanic that let you collect monsters as trophies using scarab beetles.

There was an album I was looking for 'Catch' by 'Catch'. It was only released in Singapore for a short period before being deleted. I had scoured ebay/CD websites/CD shops every avenue you can think of for this album, I couldn't find it anywhere.

Someone on youtube posted a couple of songs by 'Catch'. I wrote a comment about how difficult the album was to get a couple of days ago. I got a message the next day offering to email me a compressed copy, the man/woman is a legend and inexplicably generous.

p.s. I know 'The Escapist' has a strict policy on discussing piracy, I own both of Catch's CD singles (both CD 1 and CD 2) and the tape versions of the singles but the album has eluded me. If the oppurtunity arises I will buy a copy.

This game where you played as a tank vs another tank.
It was turn based and could have 2 players.
You pick your tank and pick your weapons.
Then you fire at one another with special ammo, but it's also fun to blow up the ground and dig a tunnel. to the other tank.

I remember playing it in second grade, I forget its name though.
something like this? but older?

I do believe it is Fractal Fighters [http://takegame.com/shooter/htm/fractal.htm] he is talking about. It's a classic to me... I was always horrible at it.

This isn't a game but I have been wondering what it is, I don't know all that much about it other than a few vague details. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's a cartoon.
The protagonist was on some sort of an adventure (maybe).
The protagonist rode around inside of a (possibly talking) whale.
The whale had portholes on its side and hammocks inside it.
the only thing that instantly comes to my mind is Flapjack :D

Probably should have mentioned that it's pretty old.

ahaha heres one

It was a jak and daxter game it started in the desert and had cars it was for the ps2
You're looking for Jak X.
Or perhaps Jak 3. Jak 3 had cars as the main method of transport, and opened with Jak and Daxter in the desert after they were exiled from Haven City.

I got an interesting one!
When I was like 11 (am 24 nao) there was a game out on the Playstation one. Its name (obviously) eludes me but the vague clues I can provide consist of:

You fought by animating dolls that came to life and did special moves. One of them iirc was a small doctor who would steal enemy life and convert it to mana for you .

I owned it when I was younger but got rid of it because I wanted FF8 and got that by mistake (my older sister got it for me not knowing,) and now I actually regret not having held onto it as the concept has me intrigued.

I have two; they're both fighting games from the PS1 era. It would be easy to remember, I'm usually pretty good at that, but both titles were Japanese.
The first one was a polygon ring fighter where one of the characters was a girl with white(ish) hair in a ponytail. I remember there was some kind of projectile move, but I can't be much more specific than that. There was also a single player mode where you went into a cave (or labyrinth?) where, to defeat enemies, you had to go a couple of rounds with them in traditional fighting style.

The second game was a 2D fighting game. One of the characters had an orange trenchcoat, and there was a very large (obese) character, who was easily twice the height of all the others. I remember his body type, as his stomach was swollen into a sphere like a balloon.

I played this at daycare, back when I was ~8 years old.

Thanks for any ideas anyone has!

It was an in-browser game. It was on of those games with various bouncing balls, and the PC shoots a spine, splits the ball into 2 smaller balls etc. It had a faux medieval vibe, tunics and ruins and columns and so forth.

Oh please tell me you're thinking of "Britt Allcroft's Magic Adventures of Mumfie". I loved it as a kid and would love to get my hands on the series.

I couldn't find a pic of the whale with the portholes, but that's Mumfie and his flying pig friend.

Hmmm... Was this game by any chance a strategy rpg?

Oh, yes. I think that's it! If it isn't, I'm pretty sure I've watched before.

Thank you.

I'm afraid I have no idea what any of the unsolved questions are, but I'm going to post mine anyway. I'm also going to be a rebel and post a book.

It was about a man who slowly faded from reality into a sort of alternate limbo reality, where everything was grey, and he couldn't touch anything. As if he were a ghost. It happened slowly, with people paying less and less attention to him, and things getting greyer and greyer.

I remember him meeting other people in the limbo; a man with an accordion (I think), and a woman. I also remember them finding the occasional item that had colour, like an orange or a towel, that they could interact with.

I read this book when I was in primary school and loved it, but I cannot for the life of me recall what it is.

Also, the book cover may have been a monsters hand holding the planet; but that makes no sense considering the story, and is most likely a false memory from something else.
