huzzar, I've Gone Gonzo! (there is an actualy topic to this thread too!)

basically I'm celebrating my 1000th post like the fool I am! hurray!

Of course, I'm going to need a topic if I'm not to be punished with the banhammer... so!

If you have Gone Gonzo (or more), how long did it take for you to get there? Did you care at all about going gonzo? If you haven't, do you wish to Go Gonzo?

I can't remember how long it took me... but since I haven't got a 'regular''s badge yet, I'm guessing less than a year, and I post relatively frequently

edit: also, I do kinda care about going gonzo unlike most other people who have, mainly cause I see most of the people who have over 1000 threads as kinda the cool elite who are mature and awesome and stuff...

the feeling will probably fade though, I'm a bit of a child in that respect, novelties ware off quickly for me >_<

If you want to know how long it took you to 'go Gonzo' then just look at the date you joined.

I forget, it wouldn't have been any more than a few months. And no I didn't care actually, I cared more about making interesting posts and arguments that are quote worthy. Therumancer isn't even gonzo yet and I think he's probably one of the most intelligent and valued posters I know.

I took about a year actually. I spent so much time just lurking around to get a feel for the place before I dived into the community.

Just post for the next 2-3 months, and you should get it.

You get the badge once you'v e posted in 13 different months. So yeah, carry on posting for a few more months and you'll get it.

i went gone gonzo a couple of months ago. let's see, i joined August last year so it took me about...7 or 8 months. i'm so glad, i WILL get the Neo badge (5000 posts i think, if someone could clarify that i'd be grateful) though it will probably take me a LOOONG time.
