How can you mentain a good "quality" for the posts, when you post so frequently?
With 30 days on average a month, let's do the math:
3350:7 = 478,57 - Let's round it up to 479.
479:30 = 15,9666...

You've posted on average about 16 posts a day. Steadily for 7 months.
Perhaps you've had a months absence, but that would have required you to post 18 posts daily for the other 6 months. Each and every day.

Let's ASSUME that on average, the guy sleeps 8 hours every night, less in the weekdays but more in the weekends. Now we figure out that 18/16 equals 1,125 post every hour.

I just have to say... Wow. So, is 1.125 posts/hour too much? Could I get away with 1.110? I was under the impression that if it takes, say, 20 minutes to read a thread and maybe 10 minutes to write a good post, you could get 2 an hour, easy. Of course, most threads don't take 20 minutes to read, and I've spent waay less than 10 minutes writing this ("that's obvious!" comes the painfully obvious joke reply), so upwards of 6-7 amazing quality (the ones that quote philosophy and holy texts and are inevitably reserved for the religion flames) posts could be done an hour, or 12-13 decent quality. Hell, if you want to stay on topic, you don't really have to read more than the first page, so you might be able to get up to 20-25 and still remain relevant and high-quality. So this shows that 1.125 posts wouldn't really take more than an hour a day.

On Topic, no, I'm not really that bothered by Going Gonzo. I'm not even sure I'll be around that much in 500-ish posts.

It took me a few...weeks, maybe? I spend most of my time in the forum games section, and I found a group of people who kept them moving pretty quickly.

I only pop out every now and then, and I try to post quality stuff.

As for going gonzo? I was kinda proud, I guess. Yay, I got a title change was about the summation of my feelings.

I've gone gonzo and it's really not that much different. I tend to trust people with 1000+ post counts more than I do <200, but that's just me. What really matters to me is the people who have the badges that say they haven't run into and moderator wrath. That's more important to me.

I believe I went Gonzo at some point, at some time, I seem to post roughly 7 times a day looking back on my history, as I just pop on whenever I get back to my computer alongside checking my mail and MSN, I don't really care about it that much but its nice to now.

I may be on here less though now summers here, I'm sure I'll be driven back by winter though.

I went Gonzo back in April? So it took 4 months or so. Somehow I managed to reach the next thousand in a month after (I think it's because I actually went looking for threads to post in as opposed to just commenting on the recently commented ones.) Was excited at first, and made sure that my 1000th post was about something I cared about (Marvel vs Capcom 2 being digitally distributed on PSN and XBLA).
