I order my men into a single file line and keep running. The enemy will only be able to shoot the man in the back and by the time they get to me I will already be at the extraction.

First: Set up the claymores along the road and find cover in some trees behind rocks whatever, for most of your squad. Send two men ahead to keep the enemy distracted so the enemy thinks those two men fell behind, one could fake a limp. Take the scapegoars ammo except for three bullets or so each. next have your main force pool the resources, give one person 5 grenades and two smoke grenades, another one 4 grenades and 3 smoke grenades. Assuming they fall for it and the claymores take out the vehicles, your main force should move as far as possible while the enemy is in disarray and then behind some cover. Have your two grenadiers toss one hand grenade each into the enemy forces from their cover and the people who have ammo lay down minor fire in the chaos while the grenadiers throw smoke grenades and frag grenades to hold up the enemy.
All else fails: bend over, put your head between your knees, and kiss your ass goodbye.

Climb the tree's, and when they approach. Lob down a Smoke Nade. Then jump down from the tree's, and Spray and Pray into the Smoke. By now they'll have backed out and away from the smoke. Use this to your advantage, and run. Planting 2 claymores every few dozen metres, and using a Smoke Grenade and Normal grenade each time the Claymores go off.
After the claymores have been used up. Every few dozen metres, throw down a smoke grenade, and then 2 normal grenades. Repeat until the last 2 Smoke Grenades have been used up. Using the other 3 grenades on any and all vehicles.
This method is not effective at killing them, however it is effective at holding them back. Nobody wants to be a hero and charge forward into the unknown and get killed. So scaring the wits out of em is the only method to effectively give yourself space from them.

What's the terrain? Why am I following a road for extraction? Extraction should be out in the boonies where their is no enemy contact.
In a forest situation I would set up claymores along the road to hold up the vehicles, then move into the trees string up grenades of both types set with trip wires made from material to hand, if necessary one of the bdu's cut into strips.
In a fields/open area situation the likelyhood is that we would be caught, so 1 person would take the smoke nades and attempt to lead the troops in the wrong direction to allow the others to escape. Hoepfully they could then surrender and expect reasonable treatment under POW regulations.

Put 4 claymores on the same spot, throw a grenade at it, make big hole, throw more grenades at it, spell out NOT A HIDEYHOLE in bullets and then dive in and cover with leaves.
If bored set the resident handyman of the squad to fashion the leaf lid together as a balloon and power with smoke grenades, leading to freedom!

Set up the claymores and when they get close throw out the smoke grenades so that they wander into the claymores. Throw out the grenades to take out the ones left over and then pick them off one by one with whatever ammo I have left while leaving one bullet left for myself because my stupid plan probably wouldn't work.
