oh, and for a hypothetical thing (in the same terrain i said earlier) if there was jungle i would go to the jungle, and booby trap it with claymores and stuff, and shoot the 20 guys who were following us (the vehicles were left behind since they can't go into thick jungle) the guys with sharpshooter training would kill the 20 other guys, then we would go through jungle and get back on the path so far that the enemy cant see us,perhaps around a bend. get to the exctraction point, and be saved.

I wonder how i would do as an army tactition. quote me and say what you think.

Just because I can I would...
1. Have a couple men stay in front, law claymores with the majority of the weapons.
2. Circle around back while the first group is slowing down/distracting the enemy
3. Hi-jack one of the "lightly armored" vehicles while the majority of enemies are busy with your distraction.
4. Pick up your other men in a cool fasion of them jumping on while the thing is moving.
5. Insert another step in between 2 and 3 in which you remember to sabotage the remaining vehicles/
6. Run...

Option 1 - Decent distance from the enemy: Throw a few smoke grenades, and place the claymores while the smokescreen is still dense. Throw the rest of the grenades while you are running like hell.

Option 2 - Very close to the enemy: Convince someone in your platoon to take all the grenades and claymores and go for a suicide attack/last stand. Protect him with covering fire.

"hypothetical".

assuming there isn't clearview around us (otherwise we'd be shot dead already), hide inside the forest and wait until they pass by. get left behind and embark on a magical journey to home.

well this can be easily solved, depending how far away they are from you, set up all your smoke grenades in an area that is away from the extraction point and not on your path or close to it, I would say Huck them as far away from you as you can, so you can destract the enemy for a small amount of valuable time, dig very shallow holes and set up the claymores in areas in which they are coming from.

now if you have time, set up trip mines with the frags so that the enemy will be confused.

procede to extraction point outskirts, hide in the bushes to form a parameter around the LZ and wait... dont fire until you get their broadside, open up when the chopper comes in along with its minigun and pull out

seems to me this isnt much of a senario, if only because if your heading to a LZ than the extraction chopper can provide cover, along with any CAP that is on station.

if your a SEAL team than you allready have them out numbered and out gunned anyhow. those odds the OP put up are just a normal day in the office for them.

If you had carried out a successful break contact, which lets face it you should have being SF, you wouldnt be having this problem

Set up the claymores on a remote trigger, hide and wait for the first light vehicle to go past, then set off the claymores and throw the smoke grenades to screw over the other vehicles/troops behind it... use what ammo you have left to kill the guys in the vehicle, shove all your men in and leg it...

Try to distract a squad of them. Then knock them out and take their uniforms. Hopefully I'll sneak out.

This is clearly a bunch of related content. Please don't keep making new threads for each instance -- especially when you're posting a new thread about the same topic every half-hour. It should be easy enough to keep using the same thread for more than one hypothetical wargame.

I make the situations militaristic because they are life and death, which means that one would be inclined to think carefully and wisely. It is a way of gauging my fellow man's intelligence.
That's the saddest thing I've ever read.

I would kill three of them with the ammo I have, activate my UAV Recon, and use it to help me kill 2 soldiers. Call in an air strike and since I am bound to kill 2 more call in helicopter support.

Or maybe I've been playing too much COD4 recently...

On a serious note. Use smoke grenades to cover my tracks and run like hell.

well, they have armored vehicles, so staving off an assault by your mystery attackers wouldnt last very long, especially if they have any cannon over the 25mm variety.
id say plant the claymores at choke points, or make a few, and place the smoke grenades in the same, with some pit traps, not deep ones, just the kind with spikes on the walls pointing down, and touching each other.

id run like hell

Put all the explosives in a huge pile in the path of the running army and run like hell...? Maybe give the suicidial patriot all the ammo left, have him strip naked and charge the oncoming soldiers?

I'm going to say we must have done our job pretty bad if that many soldiers are after us.

I wouldn't have to, the dragon king would fly in and take care of them, then take me to space.

What? I can't toss in my own hypothetical variables?
