There was a time when I said some less than respectful things to someone because I thought they were just spamming other users for not posting in a spefic way on this one thread. I learned shortly after that the person I insulted was actually the OP of the thread and was only trying to keep the thread to their preset specifications. Looking back I'm a little embarrassed that I didn't even notice the OP.

I felt especially shitty after realizing what a douche I was unintentianally being. I am very greatful ,and somewhat surprised, that I was only issued a warning by a mod instead of being put on probation.

Can you fill me in? What was this?

OT: Yeah. A few times. I never got the hammer for it, but after I posted it I thought that it was probably a bad idea, but let it happen anyway.
There used to be text in red under all of my posts that linked to the post in question, but I suppose my probation is over, since the red text is no longer there.

I haven't regretted saying anything on escapist, although in real life sometimes i need to learn to shut my mouth a bit.

As far as posting here goes, I only regret that some peoples opinions make me so angry that I cannot coherently express myself, and so despite wanting to stand up for my beliefs and knowing them to be correct, I end up expressing myself poorly.

To avoid further probation, have there ever been times when you regret posting something you shouldn't have? Do you remember why you posted it?
I was shocked to see what you did post, to be honest. Seemed very out of character for you. :/
I'm trying to remember why I posted it; I think it just coincided with a very angry memory that I have since repressed.
I'm sorry. If you want to talk about it, you know you can PM me. I'm always willing! :)
Thank you. ^_^ I might take you up on that in the near future. >_<

I posted a thread asking why people hate JRPGs, it just made me insecure to like the things that I like and that was donwright depressing. I consider it trolling since I probably knew the answers anyways but still went ahead and posted

I haven't posted anything that I've regretted and haven't apologized for. Surprisingly I'm still on the way to my Neo badge even though I loath most of the moderators.

I keep invalidating my arguments by proceeding to personally attack the disagreeing party, provided they're obnoxious enough about it. Some occasions It's just me being a bit too ireverrent - I believe a one-word post, containing the right word, is perfectly fine, but the Mods seem to delete any they find. Same goes for images. I tend to do that a fair bit, as well as occasionally giving in to my urge to wind people up a little.

Apart from going off the rails a bit now and then, I tend to be fairly straight and narrow. Although that could be because I've recieved so many minor warnings that I half expect a banhammer to drop if I take one more step out of line.

I've only been on probation a few times, and that's because I was apart of a flame war. To be honest, being and angry makes me feel good, so when I argue I am thoroughly enjoying myself, so I don't think I regret anything.
That.... really isn't healthy.
You're right, he should bottle everything up. :p

I have to admit there was one post that ended my Matrix badges. It in the Homosexual Incest Thread I think. Look it up, you'll know it when you see it. Besides...how could anyone not make that kinda post? For comedy's sake.

Still...

The only thing I regret was Quoting someone's post with just one word. "This"

I should have added more substance to my statement....but I was too late

I'm not sure I've ever been a troll. maybe there were a few times that I said something that I regretted later, because I feared that they would be read differently that how I intended or that people would miss the sarcasm.
but I guess I over-reacted because I have never been reprimanded by any moderators. and now knowing my luck I will most likely get put on probation by the end of this week.

I don't regret anything I have posted on these forums in that sense since I have never been modwrathed. Outside of this forums however.... actually no I don't regret anything i've said on forums. I always tend to mean what I say, at least at the time of writing.

Fuck that. Some trollish behavior is useful. A properly placed and successful troll can drag out idiotic arguments into the light.

I don't know what happened, but I'm sorry to hear you went off. I've been there and done that. Just not here.

Bad mistakes? I've made a few. I've had my share of sand kicked in my face, but....Oh, you know the rest.
