I haven't read all the comments yet, but people seem to dislike (hate is a better word) PETA. I'm not very familiar with PETA, so can't really say anything about that.
But I think that animals should only be bred as a source of food, not for a silly luxury like fur, and when it's done in such an abnormally cruel way I despise it even more.

Let's think about it logically, ok? First off, say you run one of those fur farms. No need to overstate the fact that you're more than aware that you're running an illegal business by any standards, and that animal rights activists are going to want to shoot you down. Would you honestly, would you really be so stupid as to allow people in your installations with cameras? I don't think I would. Besides, the methods for animal skinning are much more advanced than these, and if anything, they wouldn't be skinning them by hand, using machines instead, since of course they have no care for the animal's welfare. Besides, we all know just who the PETA are. Am I the only one who remembers the Virginia cases? Just as a reminder, they killed animals, and the other members of the organization defended the murderers. I wouldn't be surprised if this is all staged by them.

I'm open for debate, as well as flaming.

I consider myself to be a liberal, but I find ultra-liberals to be the scum of the earth. PETA is a terrorist organization, they've bank rolled multiple felons who commit among other things arson, all the while maintaining plausible deniability as to that person's involvement in their organization and their actions which forward their goals.

This is pretty awful, but I don't own any fur, nor do I know anybody who owns any fur; actually, who the hell wears fur anyway? This is China we're talking about, China is massively different economically and ideologically from the modern westernized nations that I'm assuming a vast majority of the readers here were educated in. Morality and ethics aren't universal the world over besides perhaps the basic aversion to murder and theft, the rest is subject to regional beliefs. besides there are far worse things in the world than animals getting skinned alive; if this is the worst thing you ever see in your life you can consider yourself well protected by the bulk of cruelty the world can offer by your society.

Just a quick question for the people here-

1)There is a lot of PETA hate here. Now, i'm not condeming that because i don't know much about PETA, i'm just wondering why. They seem like any other animal right's organisation to me, i never hear much about them in the news, nor do they make a nusance of themselves in British cities. Are they bigger and more annoying in the states or something?


Like many people here, i think where all wondering why car'nt they just slit the animals throat before skinning it? I can only assume there is because the Chinese consumers believe (probably falsely) that the quality of fur is better if it was removed from the animal while still alive. Thing is though, you carn't really do anything about it. One, the Chinese government would lock up any PETA protestors in China without a second thought, and two, the Chinese don't have a concept of "animal rights". So Peta are in for a hard time changing the minds of the Chinese consumers.

I remember a philsophy lecturer telling us (on the subject of animal rights) that he had given a lecture in China about animal right's, and he said that throughout the lecturer the Chinese students where smirking and sniggering throughout his talk, they simply could not understand why animals deserve basic right's. I think also it's an East Asian cultural thing, i remember reading a news article about the booming trade of animal testing in Malysia, as many companies where re-locating there because they did not have to worry about animal rights protesters. The journalist quoted one Malaysian scientist saying that "nobody here cares about the rights of mice".

Lol, kk, i think i'll have to do some googiling of news articles. They don't seem to have much of a presence in the UK. Fortunatly. (Using womans milk instead of cows milk? That's... um, perverse...o.0) So far, they sound almost as nutty as scientologists.
