I do not like Top 5 with Lisa Foiles

I really cannot stand the show, here on the escapist. Top 5 with Lisa Foiles isn't particularly funny, informative, generally entertaining or insightful, so I really have no idea why it exists. That's not to say anything about anyone working in production with the series, but I cannot stand it. Erm... anyone else? If you do enjoy it, state why.

Whether or not I agree with you, I hate it when people write things like the first two posters. What the hell is the point of a discussion forum if people didn't share opinions? I'm pretty sure that's the point. Also the irony of those statements is hilarious.

OT: I'm not a huge fan. She serves her purpose being she draws in a certain crowd. I've seen a few and actually laughed really hard at one comment she made. I was very surprised. Overall, I find it to be very gimmicky.

I don't either. But I gave it its chance, its second chance, and when I found myself still not liking it at all and still highly annoyed by Lisa, I just stopped watching the videos and reading the comments that followed it. Viola.

[Personal opinion] I don't like annoying, high-pitched, awkward, pandering bottle-dyed blonds. And seeing most of the people who like it, fall all over it because they hope she'll find them and do something to them physically. Which is a dream. Females like Lisa are a cause of extreme annoyance for me,
especially since I grew up around a lot of them. The fact that they weren't like that all the time, and were a different person when guys weren't around, only caused my annoyance in them to increase to the point of pen-snapping frustration.

I feel like I am watching another youtube vloggity list about something that is just blatant self-marketing - with the cover of video games, when it really has nothing to do with them. And it irritates me that I thought I came to a place that wasn't like that. I'm not saying someone can't be beautiful and into videos games. But there is a real fine line, for me, about it. Being beautiful, classy, and actually talking about video game stuff that people find interesting besides, "Weirdest Character Trinkets" would be great. But all I see is useless lists, mass amounts of overacting, blatant sexual self-marketing and I PERSONALLY consider that trashy. [/ Personal opinion]

I think she's got a nice rack. HA. Aside from objectifying women, I think the show's okay...it has its moments. I just think she's too...uppity. But that's just me. I enjoy laid back/cynical humor- not Boxxy-esque madness.

Okay. This thread was made why? No one is saying you have to watch it. You make a conscious decision every time you press that mouse button over her face.

People have different tastes. If everyone hated it, it would go away. Obviously a number of people here enjoy it. You don't see them making threads about how much they love the show, how they like the content, etc, etc...

Edit: I'm totally neutral about the show. I don't love it but I don't hate it.

yeah, its not entertaining, i assume that the "zomg im a gamrrr gurrrrl!!" is a character choice and shes a very nice person in real life, but damn is that persona annoying, and primitive, i do enjoy her very short "sketches" but those are 30-40 secs top.

And the way she stands is just a tad to model-y for me.

man i feel bad for the OP, the whole point of a forum is to discuss and talk about opinions, why so many "then just dont do it" replies, the thing is that they can apply to any thread, dont like DRM? then dont buy games, worried about the industry being controlled by censorship? then stop, its that easy, no need to ever post anything on the forum.

My main concern is with Lisa being clumsy at funny. I get it's a more girlish approach to games focusing in things like fashion, hotness, shoes or whatever, and I respect that. Production is kinda well done, and the editing is more than decent. Lisa, on the other hand, seems a bit green at conducting a show.

I've never seen her anywhere else, mind you, and I'm not aware of her experience or performance. She's got talent, however, and I think it's only a matter of time until she becomes a funny and worthwhile lead. As for me, I'll keep watching it from time to time.

And yeah, she's awfully hot. Guilty as charged.
