I dunno, what do you want to talk about?

Maybe it's just an excuse to bubble wrap his room? Maybe it's more for fetish purposes...? Maybe I'm too afraid to ask?

Perhaps he's trying to soundproof his room so that nobody hears the gunshots and the desperate screams for help as he...

...watches crime dramas. Why else would you want a soundproofed room?

Call me crazy, I might be wrong here. Maybe I'm just assuming. Or maybe even having weird illusions. Or seeing things. Maybe you're not even here...

*ahem*

Anyway, is your post by any chance a reference to a cetrain...text booky...individual of the musically academicy kind?

OT: Total War. Ever since I got it, it's been almost always all I've wanted to talk about. Sadly, the only friend who plays it plays Empire: Total War, and I'm playing Rome and Medieval II.
yes

and that thread he made is about me....and the argument we had on "is dubstep music?"

Here's a random topic. What is your favorite anti-virus program? Going to eventually build a PC so I want to spend a few extra bucks on good software.

Well I started playing WoW around 2 months ago but aside from a single friend who also plays, I don't have a lot of people to chat with it about. I know I could go onto the WoW forums but those guys are reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly into it, y'know?
Ugh. Stay away from that place, it's the only way to keep your sanity. I'd almost reckon they're worse than the Bioware Forums.

I wanna talk about spiderman memes. That's always fun. Oh, and Fire Emblem! Nobody ever wants to talk about Fire Emblem.
What, you don't want to talk about Baccano!?

OT: I want to talk about... erm... hm. Sleeping Dogs? I don't know, I haven't seen any threads about it, I guess most people just looked over it as 'just another GTA clone' or something, but I think it's pretty excellent.

Ahh Baccano, I never got around to completing that...

I cross-referenced a few top lists last year and decided on Bit Defender. It works excellently for me.

Does anyone know how the fuck the visitor system works in Zoo Tycoon 2? Seems like I can never increase the amount of people no matter what I do.

Leave that to the biologists; us chemists are lazy bastards and just abbreviate or make up codemanes.
Nah, if anything biologists are even lazier... (says a chemist and biologist... but I'm not a biochemist... I refuse to be labelled a biochemist!)

Though having said that... 'codemanes' sounds like an awesome thing to have! =P
Dyslexia FTW, that's why I couldn't major in Biology (Pharm had enough essays as it was).

I'm a protein crystallographer now, so I'm torn between the two camps myself (and get a bunch of people asking me about mercury fulminate...)

I currently feel like talking about Warhammer Tabletop gaming, more specifically Skaven and which colour scheme I should use for the army I'm about to start repainting. It consists of models from the previous edition, mostly clan-rats and the metal plague monks. Center-piece is a converted Screaming Bell.

And, I'm sorry but this has to be said, OP your taste in beer is bad and you should feel bad.

I would love to do snip-its here on this site of things like "Why Prussia is great and why you should care!" Oh but that's just me!
By all means go ahead, I'd probably join you. Though 'was', perhaps...?

Unfortunately, I'm still playing Napoleon, as well as a modded Rome on the side, otherwise this would joyfully become a TW 'I so kicked the enemy's ass harder than you did' thread given that...

I will talk about Medieval II until the elephants come home, I adore that game. It was my first proper PC game.
OP wants in as well...

Either of you know any decent mods for Medieval 2?
Definitely Stainless Steel for me. It adds a ton of provinces, tweaks the AI, extends the map east all the way to the Caspian Sea and adds quite a few new factions. I can't imagine ever going back to standard Medieval 2 now.

I don't know much about Prussia, but I recently bought Sabaton's new album, Carolus Rex and that's gotten me quite interested in the Swedish Empire and the Thirty Years War.

What is the purpose of people putting their captchas at the end of their posts?

I mean, really? Who cares?

It's annoying. Cut it out.

Really? No one I know likes the missionary position. And bacon and egg... in a pie? I wasn't aware such a thing existed.

How very dare you. Though Erdinger is my favourite, it's much easier to drink, but alas, not very ladylike.

What's your poison?

Grolsch is vastly superior to Heineken. Which is weak as piss, yet for some reason the most popular Dutch beer abroad. And even Grolsch is outclassed by the many special beers from small breweries around the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and possibly other countries as well.

I've no experience with Erdinger, however if it is more than bitter enough to make the face of your average 15 year old YOLO/Swag kid scrunch up in distaste then you may yet redeem yourself in my eyes.

I wanna talk about Dexter. Seriously season 7 is starting up pretty soon and I'm so freaking excited. Did y'all see the season 6 finale?! How's Dexter gonna get out of this one? I want more Dexter related threads to say the least, and a thread about why they should bring back Bored to Death or why Syndicate was actually very good or about the impending announcement of Manhunt 3 because I know if I keep saying it it will come true... Or a thread about Arnie...

Coolio! You working on a particular protein atm? Do you do the actual photography or the modelling bit afterwards?

Oh, Gustav Adolph, absolute legend of the Thirty Years War. Reinvented the meaning of combined arms warfare and applied it to the firearms era. Oh... and HAKKAPELIITTA!!

Various haem oxygenases and peroxidases; we're trying to pin down the mechanism at the active site, but x-ray imaging isn't cutting it. I normally take the imaging side but at the minute I'm trying to coax neutron-quality crystals out of the various WTs and mutants we have knocking around. It's not easy.
