*ahem*
Anyway, is your post by any chance a reference to a cetrain...text booky...individual of the musically academicy kind?
OT: Total War. Ever since I got it, it's been almost always all I've wanted to talk about. Sadly, the only friend who plays it plays Empire: Total War, and I'm playing Rome and Medieval II.
Ugh. Stay away from that place, it's the only way to keep your sanity. I'd almost reckon they're worse than the Bioware Forums.anthony87 said:Well I started playing WoW around 2 months ago but aside from a single friend who also plays, I don't have a lot of people to chat with it about. I know I could go onto the WoW forums but those guys are reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly into it, y'know?
What, you don't want to talk about Baccano!?Revnak said:I wanna talk about spiderman memes. That's always fun. Oh, and Fire Emblem! Nobody ever wants to talk about Fire Emblem.

I cross-referenced a few top lists last year and decided on Bit Defender. It works excellently for me.TheMightyAtrox said:Here's a random topic. What is your favorite anti-virus program? Going to eventually build a PC so I want to spend a few extra bucks on good software.
Dyslexia FTW, that's why I couldn't major in Biology (Pharm had enough essays as it was).SckizoBoy said:Nah, if anything biologists are even lazier... (says a chemist and biologist... but I'm not a biochemist... I refuse to be labelled a biochemist!)deathninja said:Leave that to the biologists; us chemists are lazy bastards and just abbreviate or make up codemanes.
Though having said that... 'codemanes' sounds like an awesome thing to have! =P
Definitely Stainless Steel for me. It adds a ton of provinces, tweaks the AI, extends the map east all the way to the Caspian Sea and adds quite a few new factions. I can't imagine ever going back to standard Medieval 2 now.SckizoBoy said:OP wants in as well...deathninja said:By all means go ahead, I'd probably join you. Though 'was', perhaps...?BlumiereBleck said:I would love to do snip-its here on this site of things like "Why Prussia is great and why you should care!" Oh but that's just me!
Unfortunately, I'm still playing Napoleon, as well as a modded Rome on the side, otherwise this would joyfully become a TW 'I so kicked the enemy's ass harder than you did' thread given that...IamQ said:OT: Total War. ReadyAmyFire said:I will talk about Medieval II until the elephants come home, I adore that game. It was my first proper PC game.
Either of you know any decent mods for Medieval 2?
Really? No one I know likes the missionary position. And bacon and egg... in a pie? I wasn't aware such a thing existed.launchpadmcqwak said:i like the missionary position...and bacon egg pies
How very dare you. Though Erdinger is my favourite, it's much easier to drink, but alas, not very ladylike.Hagi said:And, I'm sorry but this has to be said, OP your taste in beer is bad and you should feel bad.
Grolsch is vastly superior to Heineken. Which is weak as piss, yet for some reason the most popular Dutch beer abroad. And even Grolsch is outclassed by the many special beers from small breweries around the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and possibly other countries as well.ReadyAmyFire said:How very dare you. What's your poison?
Coolio! You working on a particular protein atm? Do you do the actual photography or the modelling bit afterwards?deathninja said:I'm a protein crystallographer now, so I'm torn between the two camps myself (and get a bunch of people asking me about mercury fulminate...)
Oh, Gustav Adolph, absolute legend of the Thirty Years War. Reinvented the meaning of combined arms warfare and applied it to the firearms era. Oh... and HAKKAPELIITTA!!BlackStar42 said:I don't know much about Prussia, but I recently bought Sabaton's new album, Carolus Rex and that's gotten me quite interested in the Swedish Empire and the Thirty Years War.
Various haem oxygenases and peroxidases; we're trying to pin down the mechanism at the active site, but x-ray imaging isn't cutting it. I normally take the imaging side but at the minute I'm trying to coax neutron-quality crystals out of the various WTs and mutants we have knocking around. It's not easy.SckizoBoy said:Coolio!
