Anything with Seth Rogen in it.

I dunno why, it seems like anytime I see a commercial, I just can't even think about laughing. Seriously.

What makes me laugh right now is that it seems like alot of people are tossing this and that for this thread, and it seems like everything you all are posting isn't funny to me...

...Ironic that everyone thinks I'm pretty easy going and laugh alot.

I have a really odd sense of humor to some things.

I can laugh at typical idiot comedies (The Brothers Solomon was hit and miss) and at very intelligent kinds of comedy (IMO, I think Young Frankenstein is very smart, mostly because it came before a time when movie parodies actually required jokes, not referencing).

If there is a kind of humor I'm at a loss for words for, it's mostly The Breaking of the 4th Wall. If it is done tastefully, it can be very very funny (The Mask is a rarity of both a Superhero movie that combined Comedy and Breaking of the 4th Wall, albeit in a Looney Tunes Style) while most others do it very poorly and as such, it becomes less of an enjoyable comedy and more like a tasteless exercise in trying to be clever.

Of the few times Breaking the 4th Wall is actually a major part of comedy, I'd say Christopher Guest's Mockumentary Movies do it the best.

Pretty much all American sitcoms (with a couple exceptions, Arrested Development and Northern Exposure for instance).

And as for parodies of other works of fiction. Personally, I think the only good parodies are ones that come from love of genre (Shaun of the Dead, Galaxy Quest), not from hipper-than-thou criticism (MadTV being the worst offender).
Galaxy quest is the shit!

Also, random humor.

A lot of people at school think all humor stems from a central pool of:
Chuck Norris
Ninjas
Pandas
Lasers
"Awesome"
Sporks

Advanced users will put something context sensitive in.

I pretty much can only get humour kicks from crazy (Curb, original Scrubs cast), or satire (The Daily Show, the Bugle podcast).

Yeah, I'm a humour snob. Catchphrase humour (Little Britain, Catherine Tate) and "inoffensive" American sit-coms just wind me up. Physical humour is pretty lame except for some of the true masters. I like the daft-but-not-stupid brand perfected by the Frat Pack when it works well (Zoolander, Dodgeball, Anchorman) but not the stupid teenaged sex-comedy bullshit, not to mention, as a few people have already mentioned those "Movie" movies. Lazy, broad, lowest-common-denominator comedy.

Oh, and fuck Fred. Laughing at people because they have a silly voice takes the brainpower of a pocket calculator. (Except Josephine from Scrubs impersonating the mothership from Space Invaders. That was awesome.)

I'm gonna say Two and a Half Men. I've met many people who say they love that show and find it funny, yet at best it will make me chuckle once or twice.
You give that show too much credit. To me at least, I'd like to see every single person on that show put in a bag; every one involved in making it, the actors, the people putting it together behind the scenes, the directors, the sound guys, the producers, the advertisers, their families and their dogs. Then throw that bag into a river and hurl that river into space. I mean, that's just what I'd do, but whatever.
Any generic sitcom like that though, King of queens, everyone loves raymond, yada yada, they're all the same! All. The. Freaking. Same.

Heed my warning:

Dearest Escapists, for the safety of your souls, I recommend you don't watch this video. Any enthusiasm you have for life will be completely drained by the insane amounts of idiocy in this video. No, it is not a RickRoll. On a side-note, if you are stupid enough to watch this video, I dare you to watch...THE WHOLE THING. Dun, dun, duh!

I made it almost a minute in. Couldn't take any more

OT: What I just watched. Also Fred.
You sir, have stronger mental fortitude than I; I couldn't get past 35 seconds...
Has the C.I.A's new advanced torture method been leaked onto youtube?

Anything that has to do with, and I mean no offense here fellas, but "frat boy humor".

Seriously. Adam Sandler and his ilk? Not funny.

Superbad and other movies like that? Not funny.

I just don't get that low-brow "humor" I guess, I want something a bit more dark and/or intelligent. =/
I feel precisely the same way. It is beyond me why the American Pie movies have made so much money.

For intelligent/wry/ironic stand-up, I really like Eddie Izzard and Dmitri Martin. Dmitri also falls into the absurdity column. It's not slapstick or poop humor. It's funny because it doesn't make sense but it sort of does. Flight of the Conchords is good for that too.

A lot of Will Farrel Movies. There have been some good ones, but Tallidega Nights really... uhhgg. Also, Billy Madison, i have no idea why everybody seems to think it was funny. And i am sorry, but south park and family guy also have to go down here *braces himself for flaming* Then again, it is all personal choice, i am not saying any of this sucks, i am just saying that I don't like it.
I was a long time South Park hater, but I've been watching it again recently because of my boyfriend. When you can see past what they're saying to what they might be trying to say (in other words, they might be making a point, or they might just be making stupid and a point was unintentionally made) the show takes on new life. It is fairly thick with toilet humor, which I don't find funny at all because it's so easy.

Everybody Loves Raymond

Oh my gosh. HOW IS THAT FUNNY?

Seriously, EVERY episode I've seen (and I've seen MANY) ends up with Ray and his stupid wife arguing over something incredibly trivial. And the audience is made to laugh at punchlines that are so unfunny it should be a crime to call them punchlines.
I completely agree with this. And there are so many comedies of that genre! Vaguely attractive, smart wife with schlub (clueless, possibly fat) husband, and the wife puts up with his idiotic crap. Or they BOTH fight over stupid things and sabotage each other.

Of course, on the other hand, it does say a lot about the state of marriage in general today and why divorce is so common.

Catchphrase based comedy. Saying something over and over again does not make it funny.

I'm still trying to get used to The Office. I'll be watching and there are moments where I think, "okay, I see how this was supposed to be funny, but it isn't."
I enjoy The Office, but I wouldn't call it funny. It's more like watching a trainwreck. Especially the original British version and the first American episodes that follow the plot of the British version. It's a jaw-dropping "He just said that?" show.

There have been a lot of ones said that I totally agree with, but there are two that I feel need mention that will probably earn me a lot of wrath.
Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog and The Guild.
Both of them just seemed very lacking in the humor department and both seemed to be painting themselves into the humor category. Dr. Horrible just sort of said, "Let's come up with silly heroes and a story about villain" and then forgot to write the actual jokes into their humorous world. The Guild just sort of did this thing where they figured they could reference nerd culture and pass that off as a joke. They just weren't funny to me.
I like The Guild, but only because I can (yeaaaaaars ago) vaguely relate. When you've played any kind of multiplayer RPG, you see those people (or similar varieties).

I'm going to go with The Office. (Having not seen the British version which apparently has St. Ricky Gervais). It also appears to suffer from overly-pretentious fans who enjoy pretending to "get it".
Ahh, you see, I'm a much bigger fan of the American Office than the British one. I absolutely loathe Ricky Gervais' humour, I just don't see it at all. I actually enjoy Steve Carell, he just does something differently that makes it work.

I don't enjoy Family Guy, Scrubs, and anything along the lines of Superbad or American Pie. I prefer more... intelligent humour, shall we say. But yeah, humour is completely subjective, and I know a lot of people find those funny. I'm just one of those who doesn't.
