When I thought about how nice it was back when you could buy once copy of a game and install it on all you computers, and all you friend's computers.

I played the original Nintendo console when it first came out, with the original Super Mario Bros.

I remember when slinkies and hula-hoops were cool.

I remember watching Batman again. And again. And again. ON VHS.

I remmeber watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit on VHS, and used forced replay to watch Jessica Rabbit's boobs bounce.

I remember playing Leaisure Suit Larry on my shitty old computer.

Crash Bandicoot was the first game on my Playstation.

It took me almost three days of constant play to finish Metal Gear Solid: Solid Snake. The storyline blew my mind.

I played Final Fantasy 7 for weeks on end. I played Final Fantasy 8 for months on end.

I played Duke Nukem 3D endlessly. I bought the expansions as soon as they came out.

I remember playing Tomb Raider, and thinking Tomb Raider 2 was so much better then the original.

I remember being scared shitless when playing Resident Evil, and the power of the infinite rocket launcher.

I remember playing Zork on the Mac.

I was around when Newgrounds was born.

I was around when Napster was born.

My first mobile phone was the size of the XBOX controller.

My first CD player ran on two AA batteries, and i had to hook it onto my belt and switch it to 'no skip'.

I was around when Winamp first came out.

My first Ipod was the size of a deck of cards.

I used to have a Stackhat when i was a kid.

I played Broken Sword when it first came out.

I remember when they killed Superman in the comics - it was on the news.

Happy birthday!

I just turned 30 not too long ago myself, did you spend it crying as well, and mourning the death of your youth?

Nothing makes one feel old quite like realizing your father was right about a lot of things...
Happy birthday yourself! :)

And yes, your father being right about a lot of things can be a bummer. Especially when the birthday card he sends you contains a picture of him posing in nothing but a pair of shorts and the comment 'You'll look like this in 30 years time.'

Could be worse. I turned 31 today.

And I found a grey pube. Who even knew that your pubes go grey? Oh sure it looks awesome when George Clooney has sexy silver bits in his hair. But pubes? WTF?

Oh and happy birthday.

I was born two weeks before the Atari 5200 was released.

I have played video games all of my life.

I was around before Metallica recorded their first album.

I remember talking to my brother and thinking how cool it would be if there were a second Final Fantasy game, or if Nintendo released a super system.

I remember playing Star Wars on my Uncle's Commodore 64.

I remember Michael Jackson's Bad on 38 LP.

I know what a 38 LP is.

I remember getting my first walkman and being totally stoked about how cool it was.

I remember getting my very first CD - Gowan's Strange Animal.

I remember getting my first portable CD player and having to make sure it was as dead-steady as possible so the CDs wouldn't skip.

I remember when games weren't the cause of all violence. Heavy Metal was.

I remember when Iron Maiden, Ronnie James Dio and Ozzy Osbourne were as metal as you could possibly hope to be.

That is how old I am.

Now you kids get off my damned lawn.

23 here..

I feel old when I need to remind my 13-14 year old nephew and niece that the cool shit they find online is stuff I've seen when I was THEIR age...

That and I have to tell my niece (who's the biggest fan of zelda games ever..) That 2d zelda games weren't optional back in my era. LOL

Mouse Trap for Coleco Vision anyone? ((Probably spelled Coleco wrong, but I just can't remember how to spell it, and nothing came up on google for it, now I REALLY feel old!!!))

Are you by any chance a Time Lord with you memories stored in a FOB Watch? Cause that would be cool and explanatory.

OT: I remember having to rewind everything before taking it back to Blockbuster. True I'm only 17, but it made me feel pretty weird.
Welllllll, I do have this:

[HEADING=2]THE MILLENNIUM WAS 10 FECKING YEARS AGO![/HEADING]

I mean GOOD GOD! I was born in another Millennium, for cripe's sake! That's just WEIRD

Also, I remember when Gameboys with COLOUR were revolutionary. That and the fact I was born in the age of Sonic Being Good

brrr...

However, I have been perpetually 40 years old in my mind since I was wee, so I see aging as slowly attaining my destiny

The other day I realized that I feel old.

Why, you ask?

Well, it turns that a fantastic album made by a fantastic band was made 9 years ago.

System of a Down - Toxicity - 2001.

What makes you feel old today?
SOooooooooo...you feel old because your favourite album is 9 years old eh?

-Last Monday I turned 30

-The other day I ran into an old collegue of mine from TAFE. She was a teenager and two years younger than me, now she is happily married with kids. The same can be said for another friend of mine I've known since we were babies.

-Yesterday when I was justifying why we shouldn't kill the apprentice I caught myself saying "He's only 15 he's still a kid"

-I still own a Nokia 1100

-When I was drinking with a mate a while back, he was asking me if it was wrong for someone our age to be dating someone who's 18. To quote the man "I dunno man. I really like her but for some reason it feels wrong to date her she was like 7 when I was 18!!."

-I have bone spurs on both my heels and I think I'm developing arthritus in my knees

-And last but certainly not least my favourite album - Pink FLoyd's The Wall;Live- is the same age as I am!!!!!

DO I feel old you ask?!?!?!?!?!?!?! ;-)>

18 years old and how I miss my childhood. Afternoons playing Street Fighter and Sonic the Hedgehog on my Sega Megadrive. Watching Batman the Animated Series, Power Rangers, Spiderman and all the other great 90s tv shows. I remember when the Gameboy Colour, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast and original Playstation were released. I remember playing with Action Man and being so excited one Christmas when I received a Gameboy Colour and Pokemon Blue. Seems like nothing to most of you probably but sometimes I feel so old. Then again this didn't help:

I can know what a Sega Megadrive is - I had to describe it to my younger brother. He didn't seem to understand how good it was, cos he just shrugged and went back to Call of Duty.
Speaking of which, I remember when the first CoD came out, which was seven years ago.
I can remember when a Gameboy Colour was considered cutting edge technology.

My joints ache and click when I move.
I mean, I'm only 19! This shouldn't be happening...

I watched some old movie last week, and before it it showed all these adverts for movies that were coming out back then. The style in which they were done was just so different to modern day adverts, and I still remember seeing adverts in that same style. That made me feel really old.
