Ooh, so now you can say you're only ten years off 40.

I've definitely noticed that as I've got older, time seems to go a heck of a lot faster these days. I can't BELIEVE it's February tomorrow. Ridiculous.

Also, someone mentioned slinkys. I absolutely LOVE slinkys. I remember them so well, and still have two. What's that saying? "Some people are like slinkys - completely useless, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs."

Whenever someone on a forum says "Remember this great classic game?" And goes on to name a game less than 5 or 6 years old. I remember games over a decade old, which reminds me that I've been gaming for 15 years, which reminds me that I'm old.

I dub this thread...

*drumroll*

The cheesy canes' thread!

*bum-touche!*

That being said, I do feel old in my mind sometimes. Not necessarily wiser or even smarter, just .. burdened *sigh*

And what does being old remind you of? ;)

I went into town drinking last night with a friend and commented on how some of the girls in the bar were "dressed a bit skimpily for the weather"...im 22...that made me seem very old. But then I fart and have a little laugh and I'm a massive child again.

When I saw Legends of the Hidden Temple on TV and remembered watching it as a kid. Then I started reminiscing about all the great shows on Disney channel back in the day: So Weird, Famous Jet Jackson, the Jacket. And on Nickelodeon: Salute Your Shorts, Are You Afraid of the Dark, etc.

I'm still a gentleman towards ladys, it makes me feel old. The youth of today don't seem to care for the dying art of chivalry anymore..saddening
At least ladies are often pleasantly surprised when they meet a man who treats them properly.

And when did it become ok for guys to slap asses and grope women they don't know in pubs? That shit makes we want to break some noses.
Wrists, fingers or hands. Then they won't, well can't do it again...

Reminds me that I'm a 20 year old malcontent who's dossing his way through university, still playing videogames, and clinging desperately to the hope that my guitaring might one day lead somewhere.

Fun times. It was better being 14 and thinking my guitaring would get me somewhere.

That would be such a pleasure. Little pricks wouldn't be so quick to invade my female friends' space with broken fingers.

19 years of age, and I feel like 40.

Seriously, the people around me are soo stupid! (I try not to mean that nastily, but you have to understand I came from a Grammar School, where at least 20 percent of the students there were actually intelligent! XD)

I suppose it could be the way my parents raised me.
Independance was encouraged, I must've become more mature in some areas faster than my peers.

People at uni acted so suprised when I said I got an A1 on my marketing assigment and an A3 on my Microeconomics assigment.
Sure, I am a first year student, and these results were from my first semester, (I just started my second semester this week), but even with these good results, I thought I could've done so much better on both of those assigments. To be honest, I thought my Marketing report was pretty weak in its Analysis and Evaluation, (I only had a week to do it in) and my Microeconomic essay was quite a bit shorter than the wordcount (was also very pushed for time on it, you see, I had accomodation problems that set me back a whole week. Would never had gotten that Marketing done without the extension)).

I find it very suprising that the people I was talking to got C's and D's on the work.
