Iron Man was better. There I said it. No I'm not a Tony Stark fan boy! Seriously though, one day me and a buddy of mine plan to watch the Dark Knight and Heat (Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino crime drama) back-to-back just to see how similar they are... I'm convinced they're the same movie.
I agree with this, Robert Downey jr. is the best choice for Tony Stark.[sub]although Thomas Jane as the Punisher was the best choice ever[/sub] I liked the Dark Knight though...it just needed more Harvey Two-Face
Agreed, agreed, and agreed. I was hoping they were going to save Two Face for the third film. I also didn't like how they just wrote off Scarecrow the way they did.

True. I also felt a disturbing lack of Harvey as Two-Face. It kind of felt like he was thrown in there at the end. Doesn't really do the character justice imo.
I agree. It's almost as if they went "oh shit! we need more time! we only go for an hour! lets put in Two-Face!" I'm still a firm believer that he should be the villian in a sequal.
Too bad they killed him :(

To be completely honest its looks like they might go with the Riddler. If they did I hope to God they wouldn't cast Johnny Depp... he's so overrated and he would just play the same character he always plays.
I hope not...he always playes fucked up freaks. I think Jim Carrey was one of the best riddlers you can get. [sub]there's always Zsasz and Bane though[/sub]

I have to agree. He was brilliant in that role, but it was hardly one of the best movies of all time, as one of my friends tried to argue. I liked it well enough, but I honestly wasn't blown away by anything other than Ledger.

exactly, this is no pulp fiction or shawshank redemption
there are many movies that could be argued for the position of best movie dark knight is not one of them

I liked the Dark Knight but I don't honestly see so much why Heath Ledger gets so much praise for it.

It's not hard to be the loonatic bad guy.
I dunno, I just feel he did it really well. It's one thing to be nuts because life drove you that way or you're out for revenge and shit like Harvey Dent, but Heath Ledger's Joker... I really got the sense of him being insane, just for the sake of being so. He just was. And it was awesome.

Jim Carrey was the only good thing about that movie and one of the best comedians of our time imo. If they went with Riddler they would have to go with a darker portrayal if they want to keep with their gritty style. Hopefully Christopher Nolan will finally give us a damned Adam West cameo in the next film!

You are intitled to your own opinion, but the two movies really shouldnt be compared. I personally am dissapointed that The Dark Knight was grouped in with "Superhero" Movies, because it was much more than that.

It was a much more of a civilization vs evil, rather than a One Man Army Vs. Evil, which most superhero movies end up being.

Why am I picturing him as Scarface's puppeteer?

I've heard it described as an anti-terror movie more than thrice. Honestly though I don't consider it a super hero movie either (not that super hero movies are bad... well unless they're made by 20th century Fox). The Dark Knight was a crime drama from top to bottom. Give a police detective protagonist a bat costume and a bat-mobile and you'll get the Dark Knight!

Still prefered Mark Hamill's Joker to Ledger. It was more representative of what the character was actually meant to be. I understand that people like the whole new, dark Joker (in fact I didn't think it was that bad) but I still prefer the old Joker. It was his constant witty one liners and joking around with Batman, showing that while he was both demented and evil, he was still rather ingenious and up beat. In the Dark Knight he seemed to ditch the whole idea of being this light-hearted humourous character to adapt this more serious (just realized using that word is slightly ironic), dark psycho that was more disturbing to watch then amusing.

Odd, I find that Ledger's performance was overrated, and that the the movie as a whole was awesome
